I mean, do you know what the sounds are? Like the sound of a bullet hitting, a moan of a person, or like a beep? I don't think I noticed anything in particular.

I have a script for you that doesnt lag your game. The way the mod did unit icons, it was spawning them on every frame very inefficiently which is not necessary.

Not sure what you mean by that, but you can always extract the file from the original to get its hit market sounds.

Do you know how to make the unit icons check less cpu intensive or is that something thats not possible due to engine limitations or just arma spaghetti in general?

I just discovered there's a self interaction for ACE to bring up a small transparent medical HUD temporarily on the upper left. If it was persistent and maybe smaller, that would be the ticket.

That's the least important part of OG KC, but I wonder if it could just be pulled from the stats from the map that personal stats mod uses instead of counting them separately.

My apologies, sorry for the confusion, no I dont think your total kills are being tracked anymore.

I meant the old one has trouble registering when you have multiple kills within a short timespan (Like a grenade killing 5 people at once), mine registers this properly.

It may have also had some inefficient loops too, im not sure because i havent worked on this in a long time

It looks like you do actually have the stuff on the bottom telling name (not sure about rank) of the kill, even if the emblems aren't there. The fancy graphics were overkill, anyway, no pun intended. I don't think I noticed that before.

Where are totals tallied if you do it correctly now? I don't see it on upper right of the screen between compass and normal hud.

Other than the colors being slightly off and the text getting jumbled up on the health display with ACE when you changed units, was there anything particularly messed up about the health display's coding or does it particularly lower fps?

Went back over like 4 or 5 health hud mods to check them again, and they do indeed suck compared to KC. Would be a shame to have to lose that just to improve fps if in fact it doesn't affect fps much. Might not have BPM, has the wrong colors, and gets jumbled up, but the accurate depiction of ACE medical's body from the 'H' screen and the blood amount alone are gold.

No the score totals properly now, the old mod would not.

You would kill a vehicle with 5 people, and it would show you a random number.

I can make another version for you with the other features added back in if you want

You mean the compiling of the kills was broken? Ok. I can live without the score compiling. I have personal stats mod and then stats under map. However, there are no other mods that have as good a working health HUD with ACE as KC. The colors were a bit off (I believe yellow instead of blue, for instance), missing blood pressure, and the text on it was a little jumbled up when you jumped into another unit in your squad, but otherwise much better than the others. You know of any good health HUDs for ACE?

If you want those features, you can use other mods. Separation of concerns - no need for bloat in a mod which only promises kill markers.

The way the original was calling the method that triggered the display was completely broken if multiple kills were made.

Too bad it's missing the health info on the upper left, compiled score on the upper right, and seems to, at times, override my optional hiding of the green IDs for units floating above the enemy's heads that I don't like and now are back. Does seem a little less fps hit, though, but how much of that is the lack of stuff? The old KC health display in particular could be improved for better compatibility with ACE's colors. I'd also like to see both a heart stopped/KIA/skull thing and a temperature of the body or time since heart stopped.

The only thing im curious if you can do anything to fix was the huge drop in fps when you had the friendly markers enabled where youd be able to see teammates up to a distance that you set but it killed fps

now this is a triumph thank you for this fix, an award for u! i really liked the og mod but it impacted performance severely and the enemy killed message would usually be very late after the kill i like this setup much more-better setup, no impact on performance and much more functional overall nice work bud:cta_emo1:
