'incident count multiplier' was what i was thinking of. it pairs nicely with this great mod!

hotseat is great but i'm really looking for that constant pressure of raids every few days, not a burst of raids from one storyteller then nothing from another storyteller

The mod Hotseat (linked above) may help you with that! Hopefully it works with or gets carried over to 1.6 as well.

this mod is sick! i want more raids! however, for chill gameplay, i'd love to see one raid every three days instead of three raids everyday haha. i feel like i can't find much inbetween!

Interesting. I don't think there's anything about this mod that would override such a setting. I wonder if the shifting nature of the Hotseat is a problem for those settings, or if you happen to have a mod that adds a "super secret drop pod raid" raid type or the like. Well, at least Major provided a memorable experience lol.

I was interested. Until hotseat switched to him, and despite my settings being set so that drop pod raids cannot happen (since I find them boring and a source of "Fake" difficulty, oopsies your defenses got completely bypassed!), and I got an out of nowhere drop pod raid of abnormal size, that wasnt even announced.

Mind you, if that wasnt the mod's fault, fine, I do use a heavy load order, BUT its a little too convinient that it happened only after the storyteller swapped lol

its definitely enjoyable tho, since I like the combat in rimworld more than most systems especially with some revamps to make things more consistent.
until I get dropped on by the entire last battalion but hey more ridiculous situations have happened that would have also been unbeatable

Yeah that staggered back-to-back routine is the most deadly, no doubt about it. If it's total chaos, sometimes threats cancel each other out, but it's rough when your colony absorbs the full force again and again.

he really put the smackdown on me, idk if its intentional or not but he'll go quiet for about 5 days sometimes and then I got rushed down by furries asari mechanoids and deserters at the same time staggered out just enough for maximum effect on me when I saw mosquito mechanoids show up in the last raid to hit I knew it was over
