is it still needed? i saw the original size slider had some recent updates

@Alex I also thought about some options, but this needs to be done in a more global version, by the way, about reloading symbols, I think this problem occurs for some users due to the Extra Map Symbols UI, or rather due to the fact that it also allows you to change the size symbols, though not so convenient

@Yummy well it's a good start, I think Map Symbol Size Slider and Extra Map Symbols mods are good candidates to be combined as a new standalone new mod named for instance Extra Map Symbols Suite or whatever, but it should be done properly:

- integrate slider into extra map symbols with code refactoring, removing unnecessary checks
- make slider optional via toggle/checkbox option (for those who want hide it)
- as further idea implement 2 separate sliders for text size and symbols size

I just share it here as my thoughts, no guarantee it will be ever done, but anyone is welcome to participate

@Alex I haven't added any other mods, I haven't added Extra Map Symbols UI or anything like that, there's just your mod and extra map symbols, you can also add an option for the map symbol size slider so that it only turns on when the Extra Map Symbols UI mod is not enabled or add symbols from other mods, I was too lazy to do this, so I just combined the two mods and made a simple poster

@Yummy I've got an idea to combine Extra Map Symbols and this plugin into a single plugin, but unfortunately I have no time to do this, maybe somebody else could manage this, it would be great

@Alex You can make this mod require Extra Map Symbols and then it will load after it (I doubt anyone is against using Extra Map Symbols)

@Garlic yes there is a workaround in source code of this mod (made by original mod's author) pointing out that the load order must be as you wrote, caused by code of Extra Map Symbols, sorry for this incovenience, personally I could not find any good solution to fix it

I find this mod still resets map symbol sizes except it's the latest one you used. So there's 1 to 5 size symbols I used and I mark something in size 1 and exit the game, every 2 to 5 size resets to size 1 when I load it.

Load order:
Extra Map Symbols
Map Symbols Size Slider
Share Your Map Symbols

There must be some mod compatibility issue I can't find out.

New to PC gaming so not sure if there is something I'm doing incorrectly. subscribed to the mod, restarted my game, enabled the mod but when I open the map there is no slider...?

It's about load order.

Put the mods in THIS order on your server and they all work together just fine:

'More Map Symbols'
'Extra Map Symbols'
'Map Symbols Size Slider'
Share Your Map Symbols

Did someone know a mod for share Map with Friend compatible with size slider ?I try share annotation that didn't work anymore and faction Map who isn't compatible with size slider.

hopefully it will work better in large font 2k-4k resolution screen, the arrows left and right is quite hard to click as it too near to the top symbol.

@Alex; I see what happened. It was on my end. It turns out, I had the previous mod from when I was playing on GOG. I deleted that mod and now it works. Thanks again and sorry for the trouble!

So to make it clear, the original mod presumably resets map symbol sizes in between game relauch/ restarts? And this "Plus" mod fixes that so the symbol sizes get saved and loaded when you log back in?

Also, this is not an add-on for the original but a standalone mod?
