Are you running any mods that change biomes or world generation?
This mod touches such a small part of the boreal forest's biome def, so there shouldn't be any conflicts, but mod makers do weird things sometimes, so anything's possible...
Also forest and desert generation rates are determined by a world's rainfall settings, of course

I disabled this mod and that stopped happening. I re-enabled it and it started again. I suppose it could be a complete and total coincidence.

Loved this mod but when I run it now any planet I generate is always at least 50% deserts.

If it's not I honestly might just switch to this, the marshlands in boreal forests have always annoyed the crap out of me, so this mod is a godsend.
