My only wish with this mod is that some of the unused voicelines were properly covered (for custom campaigns and such). Other than that this is absolutely wonderful

There's no way around that unfortunately from what I remember. The best you can do is sort the voicelines by sample rate (should be easy to do in windows) and then put them into different folders based on that. Then when you're done, just slap everything together back into one folder.

I feel like the main thing that will be a pain in the ass will be the constant audio rate switching.

I will say this: I'm probably only gonna work on it when I actually feel like working on it. Which may not even be in this year tbh, since my mental health is basically at it's limit at the moment.

try playing with perceived loudness instead of regular loudness – that's my best guess.
audacity has a setting for that called Loudness Normalization

you can go off how he's portrayed in ULTRAKILL and also take inspiration from what i did with V1. unfortunately i can't help more than that since it's been a good while since ive interacted with either l4d2 or ULTRAKILL

The only problem is I don't exactly know what personality to give V2.

if you've got the time, go for it. V2's voice is often either the Microsoft Sam TTS or SAM (Software Automatic Mouth), which is the one i used for V1. i think Microsoft Sam is included with Windows XP, so you could just boot up a virtual machine with XP to get the authentic thing, but do what you think is right.

This is probably like one of my favorite mods on the workshop and it has gotten a few good laughs out of me.
Y'know if you want me too, I could make a V2 Version of this mod for Rochelle or something, like I know it'll take forever since AI Generated Voices are limited asf, but still, could try.

its been a while since i looked into the mod, but i dont remember changing the horde alert sound. try launching the game with just this mod installed and see if the issue persists, alternatively also launch it with everything BUT this mod and then compare, although ill say in advance that if it really is my mod interfering with something, im not sure if ill be able to fix it

i think this mod slightly conflicts with anything that changes the horde alert sound(it takes way longer to load into a campaign, and all sounds have a startup delay for a bit)

for now it seems to be Rochelle as only she has a V2 playermodel. i wanted to make some playermodels myself to have more liberty over the voicepacks but after a little research i think i'd rather eat glass for the rest of my life than attempt to rig a playermodel. i'm not even sure if the voicepack itself will come out at all because i'm pretty burnt out atm, but ill see what i can do

i'd have to either commission over 3k voice lines from a VA, or get a good AI voice model, and both of these are WAY out of my league for now, but maybe it'll happen someday

Looked that one up, and it's in the unused voicelines section, so I didn't properly create it to save on time (forgot at the time that vocalizers can pull unused voicelines) . When I get some free time I'll come back to it and fix it.

there is a missing voiceline where nick says "your mom's car" (ions vocalizer character specific 3)

other than that, great mod, everything is audible and some of the samples from other games / characters is fun
