@Colin there is a Campaign version of Chaos Mod, but for some reason it's not next to the Survival version in the Mutation list. Scroll down a bit and you should see it.

the only effect i actually have any issues with is the counter-strike source one, purely because the error sign infected's collision often gets in the way of doorways which leads to the game getting softlocked

it's causing so much lag on the survival mode

Maybe add an effect that restores health to full or one that turns god mode on to balance out the whole no health kits for the entire map + now you're about to die combo?

It just feels like the game is over when that happens.

Or maybe just tweak it so it only removes the health kits the players have? Or remove it all together? Maybe replace it with another effect?

I have made a list of all the broken effects I have found;

"Louis has come to help"

"Oh shit Tank"

"Heh"

"Watch out"

"Speedrun means everything's really fast right?"

"Guhnomes"

"Who doesn't love Jockeys?"

"February 1692"

"Everybody take it slow now"

So far, this mod has been great and really embodies the "Chaos mod" that I'm used to from "Super Mario 64 Chaos Edition"

However, I've also noticed the "stacking effect" and I've noticed it most frequently with "Oh shit Tank", "Louis has come to help", and "Speedrun means everything's really fast right?. I'll gladly document any others with more testing.

The everyone changes into another character effect doesn't wear off when switching to a new map and also breaks the HUD. Whilst it is fun having everyone be Zoey suddenly, I do wish it would change back after a map change.

I also think that the effect that removes medkits for the rest of the map is a bit too punishing for long maps, especially when combined with "Commons are now JACKED" or "Your health is temporary now"

I've noticed an issue - holdout, scavenge and sacrifice finales finish immediately once you start them. I've tried normal singleplayer, and it's business as usual, so it's something with this mod.

Also, this breaks Dead Center, meaning the infinite tanks and hordes occur, but you can't escape via Jimmy Gibbs until you've filled it up.

By the looks of it, they appear to be random effects that stack upon themselves causing the error. They don't seem consistent at all. One effect can work properly and then it's a chance for the next one to just randomly stack.

That happens if one of the effects causes an error, then the timer fires again and the timer just ends. Now unfortunately I’m away from home rn so I can’t fix anything with the mod (unless I find out how to code on a steam deck) so for now it would be helpful if you could tell me the names of the effects that caused the “stacked effect”. I’m guessing whatever broken effect it was, it didn’t feel like showing up when I was testing.

Don't know why, but sometimes the mods are stacking on one another, breaking the mod entirely. If there are two effects at the same time, then the mod just stops entirely.

I had finally made it past a hard part that I kept dying on cause of unlucky effects and then I got the restart map effect :( LMAO

@withextradip Tbh imagining that pro-pain one sounds fun like imagine you're shooting already as they spawn and you blow yourself and team up or something

I have a few suggestions for new effects, I don't know if any of these are possible.

Thirsty? - Spawns a cola in your hands

Gnome Tank - Changes Tank model to gnome

Flaming Melee Weapons - When you hit common or special infected with any melee weapon, they will get set on fire

Pro-pain - Spawns a dozen of propane tanks around you

Ammo Reserve Begone - Sets the ammo reserve of your current primary weapon to 1

Jump! - Causes all players and bots to constantly jump (doesn't affect commons)
Party Time - Spawns firework particles on all survivors (it burns them)

Super Spitter - Makes it so the Spitter doesn't have a cooldown on their spit attack, meaning they can spit as much as they want in a short amount of time. Also gives them more health

Creepy Crawlers - Spawns a small horde of Mudmen around the survivors

I would imagine you would just have to host a local server with the mutation active. Admittedly I haven't tested this online.

I can't get it working with others. Do we need custom servers?

going into the next map after louis spawns crashes the game
