@Veteran, bunk beds are single pawn only, the only mod I recall that allows lovin' between two pawns on one bed, was RimJobWorld, but I don't think it's compatible with it since I don't use it... Sorry. (Unless a vanilla update allowed pawn lovin' on the same single bed? And I was not aware?)
i have a million mods but my best guess is becuase i inserted it into a save game where basic furniture had already been unlocked.
The fix that worked for me in 1.5 is to find and edit the 1.5 version of BunkBeds.xml (it's in steamlibrary/steamapps//workshop/content/294100/2961752749/1.5/Defs/ThingDefs_Buildings).
Search for texPath in the document and insert /Industrial after Bed in every texPath codeline. The full line should look like for example: <texPath>Things/Building/Furniture/Bed/Industrial/Bedbottom</texPath>
You can use /Spacer or /Advanced instead if you prefer those textures. I'm not a good enough coder to get all versions into the game but this at least removes the annoying red/purple boxes.
It might work to just move all the textures out of the Industrial, Advanced or Spacer folders into the "Bed" folder but I haven't tried that yet.
@The Blind One, good point on the Spacer/Advanced beds. Let me see if I can do something about commissioning separate variants that are the same as VE's Advanced/Spacer variants.
Are you using .dds for your image files? You may need to regenerate all the .dds files in order to update the graphics.
> The bottom beds are placed too far south on the tile by default, they are spilling over into the tile below and if you have walls there they clip into them. (north / south orientations only)
> If you reset the settings in the menu accidentally, you're screwed unless you wrote it down lol (also no way to parse XML but you can copy it?)
> There is no proper menu icon for the beds in the architect menu.
> While I like the new bed additions. they are also kind of bloat and there are no single bed variants for the new advanced and spacer double and triple beds that were added. The advanced versions don't look like the same bed from vanilla expanded either. What's going on? Are they being added as variants in the future to VE?
VE Gravship conflict fixed
2 new bunk beds, spacer and advanced (VFE Spacer variants)
New retextures for the existing bunk beds made by Ogam
If you're curious, I believe the Medieval Bunkbed Retexture actually fixed the issue. You could look at how they fixed it to implement it in your version. I think it has something to do with how the textures are sized or something.
I'm using hospitality etc.
Two people per triple bed, maximum. And one person per double bed, maximum.
That's a real shame.
VVVVV
Then, Odyssy came out, and trying to squeeze a functioning base into a very tight space (to start with) became very much a reality. A very useful mod.
For ref I also made an Ideo that it shouldn't even being a religious problem through precepts.
As with any mod that adds items: save first, then remove anything you have placed that comes from this mod, make a new backup save, and *then* remove it and hope for the best. This includes any such items in caravans or sitting in storage.
