my friend sent a testicular torsion spell gif and we fucking crashed

Hey don't add .webp to tenor urls it crashes the game instantly and crashes the host's game at the same time but adding .gif to tenor urls works fine

Currently Link to gif is broken from what I found, if you try to use a link instead of the command all players games will crash

For some reason this mod only shows half the gif, being cutoff at the bottom. it may have to do with 4k resolution so im not sure. also whenever i turn the zoom up, the gif goes faster?

Also, for GIFs that don't end in .gif, you right-click the gif in the website and click "copy image link" and it'll give u the .gif variant

the mod doesn't really specify how i'm supposed to use the Tenor API key, just says that I can get one. What is it for?

Yeah, unfortunately the mod hasnt been tested on Linux so thats most likely why it doesn't work :/

Here are my suggestions:
1. Go to the mod's client config and turn off "Enable Gifs (Client-side)". This will allow the server to keep the mod running and others to send gifs but you will not be able to send or receive them
2. If the game still keeps crashing or u just don't wanna bother with the previous point, disable the mod entirely

Also if you really want this issue fixed, add me on Steam :)

If you want to merge the mods, then maybe try messaging Cyrillya about it and see what they think? No reason not to, and it'd probably make it easier on you if they accept.

I think that GifsChat and ImageChat serve two different purposes. In the best case scenario I'll find a way to make both mods compatible, but I'm definitely not gonna add the same functionality. It would be unethical for me to just take someone else's mod and make a "better" version of it. And tbh, another possibility is to just merge the two mods together somehow, I wouldn't be against that

Yeah this is something that Terraria desperately needs. As I said above, a merged mod that adds general better functionality would be even better, something that makes the chat more Discord-ish.

If you can send static images with this mod as well, it's straight up a better version of the ImageChat mod. Not being compatible shouldn't be a big deal if it can do what the other mod does and more.
