This mod gets the log location wrong on Linux because it uses backslash "\" instead of forward slash "/" for the path. A Linux file system sees it as a long file name rather than a path.

Protip for all Windows developers: ALWAYS use forward slash "/". Never use back slash.

The result is that Windows will treat a forward slash exactly the same and it'll also work on Linux, even when the application isn't Linux native.

If you have a null reference it's better to hit a support center with your logs if possible.

It works fine on Linux, it just puts the log file in an incorrect path due to the slashes, which clutters up the directory structure with junk.

This mod wasn't made with Linux in mind. If you have a null reference it's better to hit a support center with your logs in Linux if possible.

This mod gets the log location wrong on Linux and creates a folder in the local folder ("LocalAppData" on Windows I guess) named "Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Mods\XCatcher\Logs". My game kept flashing Null Reference exceptions, and strangely, there was no possible source of the Exception in the log, nor any information about the details of the error in the popup. Please help me

If your errors aren't specifically null references, xcatcher might suffer to detect them.

No. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\255710\2952968348 if installed on Steam. In that folder you should see XCatcher/Logs directory. Firstly run the game, if there's any nullreference the file will be created.

Thank you for this mod! I am just now getting back into playing the game after a month off and after updating all my mods, was getting this null reference error that wouldn't even let me unpause the game. I noticed that you put in the discussion that the old THEME MIXER 2 would cause an exception. Has anyone else had an issue with PICKER? Doesn't work on mac - Hard to diagnose because it doesn't generate a report. I am having the errors triggered by trying to create a city district, as well as park areas.

@Nyoko no, it is not, except if you have a subfollder / ZIP included that includes the source code... the checkbox "source" bundled is not creating sourcecode, its just a flag you can use to say "Hey, i've put the sourcecode files in this mod too" ....

If we in support not have all information in the output_log .txt, we will need to request separate file this mod creates from the player... we had same issue with the "Better Error Reporting" mod, that caused that we not have the information in the logs that we need in support. This is why CR tells not to use this mod

@Nyoko thanks for the mod and the source code. I will keep testing it, if I see NullReference issue, hopefully, it will give further information, not just the output.txt text.
