Yes, there is such a possibility.
Run the script: [_g1, _g2, _g3, _g4] call PC_fnc_newPlatoonInit;
where
_g1 is group player; _g2, _g3, _g4 are AI groups (optional).
unusable menu is blacked out wont let me select anything
This mod allows you to give "patrol" order to a squad, but this order is only designed for infantry.
"Sentry" is one other waypoint that can also be assigned to a squad. In theory, it can be assigned to a squad in a helicopter, but I don't know how it will work, because I haven't tried it. It should work the same way - the squad will stand at one point and return to the formation as soon as it spots an enemy (as I remember).
One question - is it possible to get helicopters / planes to use the patrol / sentry commands. I think this would be really good for letting your CAS squads loiter. I'd love to add some script to have this as an added function. Thnx
* The mod with a separate detonator for remote explosives has been replaced with a newer one with new capabilities (see my workshop).
* Fixed the bug where it was not possible to save custom settings in mod keys.
* Groups in a platoon respond to orders all at once, just like units in a player's group, rather than in order as was the case before.
