killer_klown94 make sure they are getting enough kills in the battlefield. need 5-7 kills minimum and need to be the top 68th percentile in kills overall. this can be a pain if you have a big army and you are aiming for a specific troop.

i got tier 4 custom units at max upgrade but they have not been up for promotion do they have to be tire 5 or is tier 4 ok if they upgrade tree caps at 4

it causes my game to crash as soon as the battle is over, i think it needs an update

@Howl can confirm that the one you posted for 1.1.6 works with 1.1.6 version.
Only minus is that if I get a few promotion suggestions, I can only promote one of them.
After I'm done promoting my first pick, I don't get an option to promote another one.
Overall, thank you for making it work and not crash.

That one is for 1.2.0 and says it wont work for 1.1.6. Im not on the beta version of the game.

I have updated this mod for the 1.2.4 beta go to the nexus page for the mod, go to posts and follow instructions.

Haven't tested for 1.1.6 so wouldn't expect it to work there, nor do i plan to fix 1.1.6 specifically

Don't bother, crashes the game on promotion.

just downgraded to 1.1.5 and forced a promotion. seems to be working fine. just 1 question. i cant find the settings in mod options to change how many kills needed for promotion. i remember there being a setting for it. just cant seem to find it

Why isn't it being updated? Why reupload someone's mod so that it stays relevant if you're not even going to update it? That's the downside with mods - you depend on the people making them to keep updating them to the very last patch for the default game so that it will remain relevant.

As it is now, it requires us to stay on older version. That's annoying.

Still worth playing the slightly older version just to have this mod ngl. With life and death turned on, had one dude with me through many in game years till death by natural causes just for the queen to promote him to a companion. From the beginning till the end loyal soldiers will stand

It indeed does crash whenever you try to promote a soldier. If you can update it, or allow someone else to update it, that would be lovely :-)

For those on 1.1.6 who wants a workaround, you can revert back to 1.1.5, promote your troops, and go back to 1.1.6.

You can couple this with either <upgrade_to_hero>true</upgrade_to_hero> in the mod's settings.xml, which makes any upgrades to max tier troops into companions instead, or the console command dservice.uplift_soldier [6], which lets you promote any member of your party. I have posted a longer explanation in discussions

1.1.6 broke the mode, was working perfectly on 1.1.5
