Yeah straight up deleting a comment asking for permission is quite rude, especially since the question wasn't asking for a new mod but just permission to make something with the content in question.

It does seem rude to just outright delete the comment without responding though, especially when it's someone as well-known in the modding community as Max asking permission. A simple "no" would suffice.

CX has reason to be protective of their stuff. I mod Bethesda games in addition to XCOM and mod theft happens in those circles. While it would be cool to have the cosmetics from The Hive or World War Lost, but I respect their decision. Unfortunate but its their content.

Yeah, i remember asking permission to make cosmetics of the Bio Division, i asked directly on ObelixDX's profile and he didn't even reply, he just straight-up deleted the comment.

And i'm not even making any money off the stuff i make, i've never had donation channels open, so i'd say it's honestly not even worth asking them.

Getting permission from the CX team has been rather rocky, often why there's barely any cosmetics of their mods.

I know you asked Asthye here but I've tired to ask for a cosmetic mod from the devs of Viper mod (I asked for another mod) but getting permit from them is really hard and in the end the Devs of the other mod, said that they rather not have someone else make profit on one of their own mods.

I can post the convo I had if you desire.

Hey, just curious but how difficult would it be to get assest from a mod into a cosmetic mod?

Just asking cause I wonder when the next time you open some commission if you could do one for the children of the king mods?

I assume you might need permission form the mod creator or whatnot but it would be nice to have more customization stuff for vipers.
