if anyone wants a version of this that doesn't allow cheats (ex: throwing backwards in tunnels + more) there is a mod called Simple Throw Mod

yeah i get this is intended to make it easier to aim spears but I dont think this has ever helped me lol

Wow this fixed more than just random 180 throw redirection BS.
It made a lot of movement tech (+combat) alot that evolve throwing, boosting, spearing a lot more responsive, consistant and not rng.

I got 30% better at this game just because this one small fix!
Rain World devs should really implement this change in their game.

i'm not 100% if it's this mod but rivulet (maybe other slugcats too) yeet themselves to death when throwing things

Finally found this! This has been the bane of my existence ever since I started playing this game. I just couldn't see any genuine reason why they coded it this way, why someone would want to hold a direction, press the throw button, then for some reason change their mind to throw the other way.

Thank you for making this mod!

This mod isn't functional for me. It could be an incompatibility with aiming mods, but I'm not really concerned enough to test that.

@SomeBruh I do backflip for a little extra height and throw it and then go back to make it so I dont fall off the platform and it happens a lot so I probably wont use this mod because I use that feature a LOT

And who the hell originally thought it was a good idea to make thrown objects change direction when turning away for a millisecond, it's not like that you will be constantly throwing spears at opposite direction of where foes are actually currently at...
