wouldnt it have been better to set the functionality to Connector instead of merge block?lowering the connection magnetic pull would help grid sway for smaller large grids.

Lots of potential, Might I suggest 2 new blocks, Floor/Ceiling & Vent Ring pieces. Also, trying setting is up with a Magnetic connection instead of a Merge Connection. Also have an Ext. Docking Door that fills the gaps above and below the door.

So for starters, it would be great if people used a few minutes reading previous posts before adding, (copy paste) asking for newer comming updates and the likes. But fun to read some of thoes comments regardless, to answer why im still following this :D

for those who 'complain' it dosn't work.... this mod has got it's last updat 2015 (now 7 YEARS ago), maybe befor ice, air and lifesuport where implemented into the game because there is no mentioning of "airtightness" and "lifesupport" was implemented roughly around that time (i had to rebuild a lot of my early ships after it ;) ).

to quote the discription:

"Edit: Well, I honestly consider this mod as a failure. No matter what I do, it still full of bugs and seems like forever will be. Doubt that I will continue to work on it, since I tried every solution (and yes, connectors isn't an option)."

and YES the idea is awesome, sadly keen isn't folowing it.

So for some odd reason, after connecting, i cannot detach, and if i turn it off, it freezes the ship and cant move.

A small instruction for use based on my personal experience

In order for the capture to work, it is necessary to bring the docking blocks very precisely to each other. These blocks do not have the usual attractive force (or it is very small).

If you do not succeed, then try to disable 3 blocks out of 4 on one of the ships. Then the docking is a little easier. After docking, you can turn on the blocks that were turned off earlier (this will cause a small bug - the indicators will remain red instead of turning white, but despite this they will merge with neighboring blocks).

I hope this instruction will be useful.

i think what made this mod mostly a failure where oversights from the Game Devs side and got fixed/imrpoved over time, the Modder should really come back and have a look at the mod again. maybe they will find working as it was supposed to be now.

Don't know why you'd call this mod a failure, after a few minutes of messing around I've got it working perfectly. Ship will switch back to being a ship if you go into your ship's settings and disable the shipside clamps, which I made their own group.

Im a moderator for the sigma draconis server and we were wondering if we could have permision to incorporate this into our own modpack, with full credits of course.
We would use the model mostly and convert it into a landing gear with a corridor for ship breaching.

Darth Typed a few years ago, when he quit SE modding, that anyone with interest was free to contact him, for his base mod files, to keep his mods updated.
Doubt he still have them, considdering the timeframe from then till now.

I can't change my ship from station to ship as described in the mod description, as my station is on an asteroid. Keep that in mind. I can dock no problem, but will not undock.

only thing broken, is that glass in the doors are turned to a blue solid something...

darth needs to come back and updates his amazing stuff :(

I am clearing out my mods and getting rid of unsupported mods, this being one of them.

@Brassverdict, technical this is part of the game already its just not as pretty. Create a tube of blocks thats air tight and has a door in middle and place merge blocks on the end facing out, you will get the same functionality.

Tested in creative and its still working

same here this is one of the main things missing from this game. i mean come on its a game about space ships something like this should be part of the base game. really wish this mod would be updated or someone makes something like it. ;(

Read the former posts some way back... Darth resigned from modding long time ago, and posted that if anyone wanted to update his creations, the person/s willing, should type directly to Darth... So untill someone takes over and updates his creations.... well I hope you figure it out.

a way to prevent the "ships" from becomeing "stations" is to change the merge function into a connector function. it can still be made airtight, but on a large scale like this might be hard.

294619787 is the mod number. In future, if you look at the URL at the top of the page, the mod id for any game that has workshop mods is the number at the end of the URL. If you can't see it, then you can go to your steam settings and enable it.

is there any way to get the mod ID number.? For some reason the mod has stoped working for me, and I have found that when it happens with other mods I have to delete it form the mod folder and reinstall it.
