@Herr Doktor - Any chance of a fix/update to these? All my favorite Skyboxes are made by you and some of the updates have made them act a bit funny.

Create a skybox or add this skybox to your world? You just sub to it and add it to your game in the mods section assuming you don't have any other skybox mods already. You can only use one at a time.

Maybe? I'm gonna get the sun in game aligned as best I can so it matches the skybox sun, and then I'll hide the in game sun so you don't see it at all.

is there a mod that removes the vanilla sun? for some reason the skybox's sun and the normal one are both present and not even at the same angles so i cant just slide it into place and turn off day cycle

If you're on a planet there is never going to be a correct angle. I lined the skybox up so it matches ingame XYZ directions.

I need to remember what I did to provide global atmosphere to the world but it was using a planet at a very very distant point in the world with 0 falloff for atmosphere and gravity(before I knew of the global gravity mod)

It’s just a skybox. It’ll look like this in space or on planet. It’s odd with planets though because the orientation will be off.

Well that’s just perspective. If you go to another part of the planet it’ll look like it’s correct. Nothing to fix there.

I guess rotate the skybox, the Cloud Horizon is Vertical from my stand point...

I'm looking up on the clouds were one side is put vertically with the mountains

vanilla earth, no other mods , fresh new game

Hmmm I’ll double check it when I get home. If needed I can rotate the skybox a bit. Could be my dds file isn’t as level as it appears to be.

It was at like a 30 degree angle upward of being level with gravity for me, idk why we got different results, and i made sure to only use the two mod, so idk man

You should check out these two very old mods that both have sky boxes which can be placed so you could have multiple skyboxes in the same world food for thought :)

The only mod I remember is the planets atmo mod with o2 and gravity it can be buggy thou id=1835731149 use the blue planet atmo which is clear with rotating cloud layer.

It allows me to define my own up and down relative to the skybox since the skybox visually has an up/down. So now I can build with that orientation in mind which allows me to navigate around my builds in a more friendly manner. Is that better?

...Good sir. I do believe you are misunderstanding how space works...up and down are purely relative. Orientation is based purely on your targeted object, and what kind of mood you're in.

Sideways in relation to what? I set the XYZ orientation of the skybox file to all zero. So Up/Down in game should equal Up/Down for the skybox. It’s the same concept the grey Builder Skybox uses.

Interfere how? You can only have one loaded at a time. Whichever skybox is highest on your mod load order is the one that will display in game.
