AR2 being one handed is authentic to the original hl2 mod of the game. Also in the game itself, that's just how it is. Gordon Freeman in Half Life 2 is such a chad he one hands a fucking pulse weapon and shoots huge holes in mfers with an AR2 using one hand. Like a god damned terminator.
No wonder Gordon Freeman is such a legend among the people of earth in the game.

Although this fixes the weird viewmodel placement I still can't stand the way the weapons work. there's a BIG difference between how they feel in gmod compared to hl2.
Still at least this is a step forward.

@jackson Yep. Funny enough, the Juniez SMG is starting to grow on me lol, the only weapon I originally had a problem with. Anyway I actually have all of them done. It just takes forever setting up the images, videos, and workshop page. So they'll be uploaded one after the other a bit slowly over the next few days.

excellent to see you're finally making the Juniez HL2 viewmodels for GMOD a reality, never really liked the vanilla GMOD viewmodels.

Alrighty, idk if Jackson has even seen my replies, but I have indeed started working on Juniez versions. The one I'm porting to GMod w/ C_ Hands is the version that XRGM1267 modified [gamebanana.com] to fix certain issues which you can read about on their mod page. I've finished the 357 & crossbow and will do the others at some point.

@jackson : After taking a fresh look at Juniez's version of the HL2 weapons, I've realized it's really only the SMG I didn't like more. Maybe there's hope for me to do those ones too... Although that might be a while.

@SmallKey : Probably nothing different. Like I mentioned in my description, I had thought no one had done this yet and I couldn't find any addon doing it, so I just decided to do it myself and upload it.

@i like playing games on my ipad : As far as I can tell, the gmod shotgun is unchanged. If it is, I can't tell the difference.

@jackson : Idk. They 'are' really well done, but I personally never liked Juniez's version of the HL2 weapons more than the default weapons. I only make mods of things I like, especially since modding sucks a ton of time out of my days when I could & should be spending it on college work.

@Dangerous Woman : Weird. I just tested it on a dedicated server w/o the addon installed on it and w/ sv_allowcslua set to 0 and it still worked for me having it subscribed clientside. Idk why it wasn't working for you or why it worked for me.

They work for me fine on a server with sv_allowcslua set to 0

For people wondering, it does NOT work on other servers unless they have sv_allowcslua set to 1

These ones are fixed, so you won't see through your arms when holding a crowbar and what-not

There's no addon on GMOD yet that restores Juniez's weapons to HL2's viewmodel positions yet, you my friend could be the one to fix that.
