Fantastic. Love the boss fight at the end

This is an amazing piece of work. No surprise the creator got hired by Valve. It's not terribly long, but it's brilliantly made. It does an incredible job of teaching you how the map expects things to play out, and keeps adding to that, expecting you to understand how it all adds up. That's ignoring the spot-on voicework (close enough that I started to wonder how the dev pieced together audio from the main game to make it sound authentic), the as-good-as-the-original map look and design...everything here is professional grade.

Very, very good. This definitely felt like it could have been part of the main game.

usually i shy away from mods like this, especially ones with voice acting (its almost always terrible). This however was fantastic, including the voice acting. It's no wonder valve brought this guy on.

I loved it : it looks great, there are clever uses of existing enemies and the pacing is good. I recommend it !

only autosave i got was during the animation of jeff killing me. absolute peak. 11/10

I think Jeff was a great idea for a single chapter in the main game to change the pace a bit. Making a new level around Jeff, however.. it's not.

Very cool map! Loved the original interplay between the lightning dogs and Jeff.

I love Jeff. I actually feel sorry for him. Once you work out how to evade him, it's so easy.

@Ryxis - To be clear and not to mislead folks - Jeff is not killable outside of a scripted section of the main campaign at the end of his chapter and he is not killable in this addon. @ⱤΛ̶t𝔥_☣★⭕⃤ - I am removing your latest comment as it does not contribute to discussion of the addon and is needlessly inflammatory.

However, the voice work was really quite good. At least, until I quit.

It's a shooter, and you can't kill something. I really wish Valve never made Jeff. I never, ever want to play the game whenever I see that thing. It's not that it is scary, it's just annoying. I had to load the map past Jeff just to even want to continue the rest of the game. I hate Jeff. No creature should be unkillable in a shooter.

This was really good! Some really good attention to detail and of course the dialogue is amazing. Just good stuff all around!

A great one and a half hour experience that holds up very well to Valve's level of attention in props and environments. The mod does what Half-Life does best, world building. I never thought I would have such fun exploring a mod but the attention to detail is amazing. The game also tries its own spin on the game mechanics with the use of the relative cast aside by the main game, Xen grenades. They change up the pace and make the mod that more interesting. The Voice acting is so close to the game that you forget it's fan made! However it's not all great... Jeff sometimes feels like a greatly thought out idea and other times, like a chore. Think less stealth mission and more hot potato. There are sections where I didn't even try to be stealthy, just ran around Jeff. That would be fine but it means he isn't scary after a while. I think this is one of the best mods on the workshop, especially because it's short, not expecting more than two hours from you. Very much a plus! MUST PLAY!

I give maximum credit for job well done but honestly I hate Jeff so much I didn't enjoy it much. The ending was exhilarating though!

For me, as a person originally from the post-Soviet space, these assets are something native. And their quality is top notch. In general, the level design is the level of Valve without exaggeration. A creative solution to fight electric dogs and scene with Jeff. Alyx's voice acting just stunned me. Top work.

Absolutely amazing! My favorite part was when you get locked in a room with Jeff and an electric headcrab. The challenge was very fun. I also liked Alyx's and Russell's dialog.

Absolutely loved this. Looks professional, plays well. Has fantastic pacing. A mixture of puzzles, tension and combat. Voices are great (did you get impersonators to do it?). You could add this into the real campaign and it would fit - it's that well done.

Incredibly well-made, quality mod. It's lore-friendly and for a good few minutes I thought it wasn't custom voice acting but clips taken from the game itself.

Well done, and thanks for making!! The voice acting was top-notch. The custom props were fantastic. The only suggestion I would make would be to swap out the generic HL:A music with some custom tunes - I think this level deserves it. Check out ZeNate on youtube, they have over 65 custom made, free-to-use, HL-inspired tracks....from moody undertones to thumping combat tracks. This level is so well made that I think it deserves some fresh tracks

Not sure which specific section you are referring to but there are a bunch of playthru videos posted in the comments so I'd check one of those.

Really well done. I agree it felt like a level of the caliber of the normal campaign. Even the voice acting which isn't perfect still sells it really well. I enjoy the lengths gone to to achieve this!

This map/mod was FANTASTIC. I say that in spite of my hatred for Jeff! I found the length of the map/mod to be just right, i.e., not too short and not too long (I really tire of the ones that go on and on ad infinitum). Also, the battle scene was tough enough to be a challenge (for my skill set), but not hard enough to be discouraging. Great job. Thank you very much for you work.

It's really great mod!
The problem is that I have only one controller. It's difficult to teleport when I was covering my mouth.
Is it possible to leave some anti-gas masks if system detects only one hand (and/or user selects easy mode)?
For your information, Alyx supports single hand mode.

@slocik Normally I'd agree about the resin bundles but I found 80 resin. The clever scavenging spots are a big part of the appeal of the map as it's one where you want to appreciate all of the visual aspects.

Best quality mod by a mile, even Levitation isnt as well done since while it has great maps, the voice acting and story leaves to be desired, this one would fir right into the original game.
Good job.
One thing is i would like every resin pack be of 5 so i can get more than one upgrade, kinda pointless to have an upgrade station if i found only ~40 resin.

Awesome, I loved spending a bit more time with Jeff.

Perfect! The lighting from moody to bright keeps you looking around to take it all in and adds to the feeling of the action or feeling. The map layout and interactions and seeing where you came from and where you are going add to the storyline with just the right amount of supplies and good action. What I loved the best besides the lighting was the voices of Alyx and Russel which were not the canned game voices but had great dialect and funny lines adding to the game. Well done I will really look forward to any new mods you make Polygrove. Thanks!
