I'm getting a bug now when I start a new game. I always have the mod on and always have bonus starting survivors at -3 so when I start a new game for crash landing it's 1 person. However, I just changed it back to "0" and yet I still only have 1 person, both on crash landing and hope scenario. It might be another mod conflicting with this one and causing the issue but when I disable this one, it's normal.

Thanks, that is so weird! Maybe a survivor mod is not playing well with yours...but that seems weird. Oh well, thanks for the great mod.

I can't reproduce such issue. The mod affects only the initial survivor count and resources.

So, weird issue. This mod (I tested) causes the schedule to have weird extra options, like "Travail", things in French. Intended? Goes away once I disable the mod. Only other mods I use are custom survivors, but the issue doesn't show up with them installed.

I like this mod a lot. I have played more than 15 games starting with 23 to 26 people. It is a real challenge especially if you play on insane difficulty.

There is no problem with custom characters.
Find out first if your custom character still works.
For those who do not have the Ai DLC, even if you install a custom character, it may not work and a black screen may appear. His mode isn't the problem.

Found the problem!
The audio pack forced the game to turn off!
It runs well without any problems!

Hi! Normally, in case of errors, they would be logged into a log file. You can check it inside the folder %appdata%/Stranded Alien Dawn/logs

yah, sorry. i apologise. seems after many tries the custom survivors were to blame. this mod, that is awsome, works fine.

Sadly the IMBECILES broke this specific mod WICH WAS THE F ING BEST with the last update. the game starts and remains on a cursor....black. hopefully it gets fixed. cause i f ing HATE THE DAMN DICE.

No, it means you can set it to a negative number, if you want to start with fewer survivors rather than more. That was added at my request and I'm super happy that it was, as I use that a lot.

Starting resources always let you set it lower, as I recall.

Oh, it says "it can be negative" but...it can't? Does that mean it was "fixed" so that it no longer can go negative, but used to be able to? Sadface :(

I did something similar on my last trade run, but only starting with 4 rather than. I compensated by going with 50% starting resources and using my mod that makes the deed for winning the scenario significantly more expensive.

I like the idea of starting with 6 people on trading post but it feels too much like cheating. I might try it with -100% starting resources. So that'd be -10 emergency rations, -7500 moneys, and -50 fuel. Is that a big enough penalty for picking my favorite 6? Probably not but oh well. :P

The option to "start the game always paused" not only does this at the very start of the game (which I assumed) but also any save you load. It's a nice feature! I always paused before I saved usually but...now I don't have to! Thanks!!!

@injto4ka Yeah I figured it was just a bug and I wanted to let you know about it.

@talancolem Random scenario? It is bugged, you always start with 4 survivors, no matter the scenario. It seems that the bug was there from the start, but no one noticed LOL.

@JaggidEdje I started with random scenario and medium difficulty. It seems that the mod is unable to add the bonus survivors when choosing a random scenario, possible because it doesn't know which one it is.

Not all difficulty/scenario combinations start with 4 survivors in the first place.

This is a great mod, but I found a problem I would like to report. The extra survivors works in every scenario, however if you chose random, it only gives you four and doesn't add the extra. Is this a me problem or is it the same for others?

The next game update, that introduces the jungle, can handle more survivors without problem. It should be safe to have more than 20.

@Corwin86 that the reason I made easier difficults and moons mod, both decide in progress calculation, on buildings, survivors, and resources you own, how frequent and how large the groups will be when get attacked.

Not good, that means that probably there is an error preventing the game to start. Could you please check the last game log after you close the game? The logs are created in %appdata%\Stranded - Alien Dawn\logs

for me if i change the people out the game has a black screen.
