Would it be possible to have this mod with archers only?

This is a good mod, makes the early game and fighting against traditional armies more fun since you have cheap shock melee and indirect fire units available. They're capable without being oppressive even in large quantities. Bow levies can trade decently in direct combat with line infantry at first but will break over time which I think is a good balance. Sword levies are good for charging enemy levies early game and also in siege assaults.

One issue I do have though is that the AI seems to LOVE putting out massive amounts of bow levies. This isn't as bad as you'd think since their low stats means that they can't do much to line infantry and above and they get ripped apart in head-on fights especially once you get higher tier infantry. Frankly I think how much the AI recruits bow levies ought to be toned down so that they don't overspecialize and cripple their fighting power.

I'm modding Master of strategy FoTS for myself and friend, wanted to import these.

But in case I make the mod public, I'd ask for permission to use these images ^^. I can make units myself, but those pics? Yas plz.

I suggest possibly adding boshin_rebels for them in units_to_groupings_military_permissions_tables, so rebel factions may be able to use them too.

Yeah, I wad talking about unit cards. It's possible to apply different animations in Tweak??

If you are talking about the unit cards. I used the TWeak unit editor to take a posed screenshot and put it in photoshop with some color overlays and slight editing.

Have you taken in game screenshots of those units and then photoshoped them to the background or have you drawn them?

Idk about that, it would just be a worse version of levy infantry with none of the samurai benefits, and at that point why bother?

Could you do matchlock levy I think it would be a great fitting for FOTS
