Also, I got a very strange indicator: Noticeable Smell. Wonder if it comes after the butchering with this MOD, or it comes from Vanilla or some other MOD. Can't find a clue and can't get it off.
hehehe...
Ok, it is a load order issue. Putting it at the very bottom of the load order makes butchering possible again.
Thanks for asking!
I migrated Zombie Butcher to v42 yesterday. Now you need any tool that does have SharpKnife or MeatCleaver tag.
In short these are the same tools you need to butcher an animal.
Sorry for so long waiting.
As I remember I really didnt use any custom assets.
I've sent you a friend request with my another account named Nintendo. Pls, contact me there if your question is still actual.
Reaching out here to request permission for use of your assets in a cannibalism/bone tool mod i've been working on. i would obviously credit you and your work here both on the mod page and within the mod files. please reach out to me either here or on discord @undeadmodder - Thanks!
As of v41.78.16 I can confirmed that this mod works in both singleplayer and multiplayer, in hosted game at least.
Pacifist - should be incapable of this action & suffer massive stress & panic when in MP witnessing this happening in their L.o.s. or Hearing range.
Coward - should take even longer to preform the task (we've all seen movies with that one skittish survivor have to set a bone or dig out a bullet, that shaky chicken)
& lastly I live in rural Canada & I do hunt cause 75 cents per bullets a lot cheaper than over $10,000 for beef, chicken & pork. so I look at it this way IF I had to harvest a human I can because I do harvest my own meat anyway so I have the Desensitisation to say a human body under the right situation is just another animal.
in this scenario your mind switches off whats acceptable in favour of survival if that means using little jenny's rotten flesh to grown tomatoes & grind her bones for glue, your going to do so & not feel guilty over it cause you get to live & using all of the remains of another honours the dead.
so yes Desensitised should affect the negatives of this.
(1) @Torkkar, there's a difference between being Desensitized, and being a complete sociopath. It's one thing to be desensitized to war... To killing, to corpses... Another to be desensitized to literally butchering human corpses.
A reduction in the stress from dealing with human meat would make more sense. With a separate trait entirely for it being where it 'should not matter'.
Oh, nurse or doctor, or really any medical occupation/trait should really limit stress. If you've been to medical school, you likely have had to cut up a corpse. Or, at least, seen one get cut up.
Granted, not for the sake of harvesting the human fat meat and bones, but... still, it should provide a reduction as well. Perhaps more than the desensitized trait would, because unlike a veteran who just saw people die, a doctor has had experience with dead people being cut up, if for autopsies. This would also help provide a little bit of actual value to the doctor and nurse occupations.
1) Weapons and tools are presented in a roadmap. We are planning to add some knifes, spears, swords and kitchen tools by forming a waterproof facing with a bone meal. We'll take care of this part right after I will finish with icons textures for it.
2) We was thinking about risk of cathing a zombie infection from zombie fat, but figured out, that fat mostly is not a part of a body. It is just a product of 2-4 acids interaction.
Human fat under your skin is a rough mix of fat and some bio connections synthesized to keep some form also being flexible. Butchered fat can be dangerous to eat or contact with. However, boiled fat without any human biological parts is just a fat that cant spoil or smth and has no difference between any other clean fat except acids proportions, so it can be used however you want to, even as a food.
3) Custom traits and moodles are presented in a roadmap. We'll take care of it right after finish with butchering and eating meat influences.
Is making soap with the fat of a zombie really a good idea? I mean, you'd be washing your hands with soap made from fat contaminated by the zomboid infection? Sounds... risky, at best. My suggestion would be to be able to get safe to use fat from animals caught in traps.
Another suggestion- A psychopath trait, either in this mod, or seeing if you can't reference the trait from another mod... There's probably some sort of psychopath trait mod out there or something-
ANYWAYS.
A psychopath, or serial killer, or something like that, trait, which would remove the penalties for butchering bodies, feeling just... at worst, numb. Due to... literally being unable to properly process guilt.

V
u really sick mate wtf.
we got a plan to make some other mods with dental health system and some vanilla friendly recipes like wooden bowls and hand-made water filter. So if we gonna do it we will think about it in order of idea of making an immersive chemistry mod.
Thank you for suggestion
make a pot of nitroglycerin
extract nitroglycerin with sugar to make dynamite
craft a bomb with dynamite and matches
if you pour electrolyte into a pot and boil it you get sulfuric acid since this game has no distillation
if you add ammonium nitrate to a pot of sulfuric acid and boil it you get a pot of nitric acid
if you combine a pot of sulfuric acid with a pot of nitric acid and with glycerin you get nitroglycerin (ideally it should become nitroglycerin after you freeze it but i'm not sure if it's possible to do that)
then you can extract nitroglycerin with kieselgur to get dynamite which you can use to craft a dynamite stick by combining it with like twine and paper or whatever
also you can remove kieselgur from the equation to make your life simpler by replacing it with sugar, irl sugar was in fact used as a stabilizer for nitroglycerin in dynamite too
Part 1:
bottles of accumulator electrolyte added to loot tables of car shops and garages (it can be bought everywhere)
bags of ammonium nitrate added to loot tables of organic food shops and ♥♥♥♥ like that (it's used as a fertilizer)
bags of kieselgur added to loot tables of the same organic food shops (used as sort of a fertilizer too)
glycerin can be extracted from a cooked soap pot with a bottle or something like that, irl it's usually a huge layer of liquid on the bottom underneath the layer of soap
