The worldmodel is built off the viewmodel as Valve never made one, i didnt model it but i spent about a few days trying to get it to fit but it never was modeled to properly fit the hands and animations as it was made for HL2 and not HL2DM, so it wasnt designed to fit.

plus i was getting sick of trying to tweak the thing after several days.

A good change to this would be if the third person model & position was altered to look a bit better.


The Physgun could be moved up so that the handle goes in the stabilizing hand and that a stock or grip of some kind could be added so that there's something for the other hand to hold onto.

The E3 2003 SWEP is very broken in my opinion, would be nice if you could do that but better.

Nah HL2 was always on source, the line was more wobbly in 1999 as Valve started working on HL2 right after HL1 released where it was Goldsource with more experimental code, by 2000 stuff like physics, bumpmaps and speculars were beginning to show and other staples of source that are around to this day.

And i would be interested in doing the last physgun version everyone knows about from E3 and videos, but someone already made a version of that, dont really think i could improve on it.

Its set up like a HL1 model too with how its UVed, and im pretty sure its the same texture artist too, so not that far from the truth really.

Sometimes people pack in the default physgun in some content and replacements dont work because some addon creators are smart.

or restart your game.
