Seems the original mod is no longer available and I don't have a copy. If I remember correctly, you can try to change the mat_use_compressed_hdr_textures to 1 in the autoexec.cfg file (and / or remove the -floathdr variable from the launch options).

Not sure exactly if that's what you want, but I do remember it changes the overall image tint.

As far as I know this applies to all Source engine games (i.e. CS:GO) and allows for all kinds of tweaks not directly available through the in-game options. If you look around there are many guides on how to tweak stuff via the autoexec.cfg file (but if game feels right probably not really necessary).

Also, I made a typo / mistake below, in your game's launch options the correct command should look like this: -exec autoexec.cfg (the dash has to be in front of the exec command, not the file name).

Much appreciated! I would've been pulling my hair out to figure that. haha, very interesting how you have to make the file yourself using the help of the community to figure out what goes where. wonder what the decision was for the developers not to include the blank text file.
