I appreciate the interest, but Legends of Callistar and its characters were invented for this mod. Kate has a collection of Sentinels decks that are based on a popular franchise, so Legends of Callistar is the legally distinct version of that franchise so as to avoid putting copyrighted material on the workshop.

Is Legends of Callistar an actual thing in real life? I can't seem to find anything related to it on the web, except this workshop mod for Sentinels when searching on Google, etc.. Does anybody know about any website or something similar where or I can find more info. about Legends of Callistar/Mystic Comics?

I really love this. It feels like a stand alone game at times.

At the moment, I'm not aware of any plans to add art. That's really a question for Kate.
