That's sadly not possible to my knowledge. The shell ejection effect is something that's handled by the model's QC, which you can't edit through external means. If you want reanimations/remodels to use the rifle shells, you'll have to either ask the mod developer to implement them or to edit the files yourself.

Tho I agree with @Ready, a seperate rifle shells fix would be nice for people using reanimation for HL2 weapons addons

found out what it was, it was muzzle flash and shell eject fix, but i'd like it if there was a version of this addon that used the original shells because i think the rifle shell model looks too big

Hmmm. well alright I'll see what I can do then, cause I don't have any custom weapons enabled right now except for ALL WW2 DOD Weapons For Gmod 13 pack, I've had that disabled, but by default some vanilla viewmodel weapons are just way too far off to the side of the screen. I'm trying to see if there's any function lines i need to add in order to tweak the viewmodel weapon screen origin placement. That's what I'm trying to do is change the positioning on the viewmodel weapons through via lua script line functions. ^_^

This mod uses zero function lines; it's all models, not code. You might be dealing with an addon that's likely shifting your viewmodel (such as VIewMod), so I'd recommend searching through your list of enabled mods and disabling the ones you might think are causing it.

Hey Aether, what function lines are used to reposition viewmodel weapons? cause I have some some Vanilla GMod Base weapons I'm doing but some models are just way too outrageously outside of view on the screen for me personally, I've been looking everywhere to find function lines for this particular script but no luck, all I've found was just ironsight functions but that's just for ADS scripting. Feel free to let me know when you get a moment, if not, thanks anyway for at least acknowledging my comment.:steamthumbsup:

kinda wish that the smg1 would have a holster anim and the grenade aswell so that it isnt inconsistent with the other weapons and so it could be compatible with mods that make you able to holster weapons.

Sadly, no. Viewmodels are usually one whole model, which means remodels will just override the whole model.
