This is so cool!! I love street fighter characters (especially Evil Ryu and Akuma) and you incorporated a lot of what I love about them into the character.

I think the character could stand to be a bit flashier (i.e. edgy voice lines, custom hit sparks, better sound effects than the Rivals' default ones on some moves) but the moves are really cool.

I can tell the sprites are traced off of Street Fighter 3, but I can't really blame you, I traced all the sprites for Ronald to be fair.

I personally think Alt 8's colour scheme looks nicer than the default, but that's just me.

It's clear you put a lot of love into the character with all the small touches, like having so many amazing super arts to pick, and those nods to Third Strike with the round intro. I really love that, amazing job!!

I wish I had the time to contribute to this character, I feel like it could be something really special.

Can't use his super arts or revenge meter with turbo mode on. Same goes for the Dudley shrimp and the Axel (jaguar?) characters. Loving all three aside from that.

amazing character mod, so well-made; and i love the idea of something that appears to be a crossover between a great ape from dbz (oozaru) and oni (akuma), correct me if i'm wrong.
i do have a tiny complaint though. the flying uppercut is great and all but i think it would be way better if it went upwards and a little bit forward, even if it's a tiny bit, since as of now it only goes straight upwards, it can be difficult to actually hit something with it, plus recovering from falling down is harder.
other than that, maybe you could try adding a few dbz moves to make the whole crossover thing more real, since now it's just street fighter moves. ofc that's your call, the mod is still amazing as it is!

@tchallamama I totally agreed with you. Maybe zangief. Have you ever thought of brothers Urien and Gill as possible candidates? Imagine Gill's gimmick, him switching between ice and fire and comboing you with them attribute (frozen or burn). Or Urien the sole master of aegis reflector. Anyway, that is just a thought. What do you think.

In other words, please keep making your own versions of pre existing fighting game characters. I think it's really interesting!

Mostly blanka because I think it would be more interesting to have blanka as an actual animal.

I love these rivals of aether adjacent versions of fighting game characters.
Eventually I'd love to see more, specifically ones based on blanka and zangeif.

@mew3 Let the guy make what he wants. You want to make a Akuma go sprite rip it like the others has or go on and use Asprite and code. Feel free to say you cant do it because (insert excuse here.)

Probably because tournaments have a rule or something where people can't use copyrighted characters from what I've heard. At least in the ones that allow workshop characters.

Why didn't you just make Akuma?
Sorry if it sounds really mean, but I think this character is really ugly looking and a normal Akuma probably would've been better.
That's personally my only problem with it, as I pretty much love everything else.

@keblakev That's a side effect of me only playtesting with my own control scheme, as I have strong set to right stick instead of a button. I'll try to come up with another input for super.

Good stuff on the char. I may not be a Akuma fan cause I see him as a boring Shoto clone. I can really appreciate how close to home you made the char two thumbs up from me.

By the way, I am not sure whether it is me but it seems when the revenge meter is full, I no longer have access to up strong and down strong. As soon as I press either of them, it activate the super move Konmetsu no ma Osamu . Is that an expected behavior?
I was under the assumption when the revenge meter is full I can still access up strong and down strong as long as I dont hold down either up or down.
