Has official Kether actually broken? I tested it out in singleplayer, and saw no difference between it and the block update version. So is there just a game breaking bug that I can't find?

Internally, Kether already has sprites (old, not yet reworked) and blank scripts for "Reverberation" (the blue sicko) as a memory. So I guess in the future that will be a thing? (hopefully alongside the *official* block update)

It would be a small miracle to expect Kether to ever get any changes. Bro has slept through at least two major patches (October's block patch and March's Mutant patch), and people are still expecting updates. Saying this character is out of date is generous, but people still play him because, as long as his opponent doesn't play defensively (because he doesn't know the game has changed around him and is no longer "parry or die"), he can still run wild with all his goofy mechanics and frame advantage. Unless his creator suddenly decides to address him directly (since their latest work is on Sunshower), Kether is functionally abandoned.
