@marianogamer3332 Then you cant use the mod
marianogamer3332 4. okt. kl. 20:13
What if I disabled the dev console?

seconding transparency issues, happens to other objects as well. It appears to not take into account objects underneath the hair/beard/clothing/whatever, replacing the pixel instead of merging it down. Happened to me with Vanilla Hair Retextured/Vanilla Beards Retextured.

Was hoping that I'll be able to make 4 sided images and use these as tokens for my rpg campaign, so not having weapons in side images will make things much more problematic.
Anyway, thanks for very fast reply.
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 6. maj kl. 7:43
@Picollo Not easily, I usually just export the weapon as its own image
Picollo 6. maj kl. 7:39
Would it be possible to export drafted pawns with weapons drawn?
I wanted to showcase weapons in pawn's hands, but the images are exported without items.

@Avokant Can you see a pattern in what beards/hairs that has this issue?
Avokant 14. sep. 2024 kl. 22:05
Hey @Mlie, Having a visual glitch with beards and some hairs when saving as image. The beards appear to be transparent when placing it on other images, not sure what is causing this transparency issue.
allbad 3. apr. 2024 kl. 11:25
Oh dangit, Unity. Thanks for looking
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 3. apr. 2024 kl. 8:02
@allbad Had a look at it and sadly Unity only has support to put text into the clipboard.
allbad 3. apr. 2024 kl. 7:38
This is turning out to be a real timesaver for me too! How difficult would it be to add an option to save an image to clipboard? This would cut out a couple of steps in my workflow. Thanks!
Rex705 27. mar. 2024 kl. 13:13
OMG, no more GIMP hassle of cutting things out and removing backgrounds. What a life saver.
Vanessa Reyes 2. mar. 2024 kl. 21:20
It seems that it doesn't matter if a Cryptosleep casket has a person inside or not, it will always be saved as if it were full. Think you can look into it?
Avokant 14. nov. 2023 kl. 17:38
Thanks for looking into it for me! @Mlie
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 14. nov. 2023 kl. 13:28
@Avokant Had a look at that and the save-location is tricky as it needs to validate it across windows, mac and linux. I have no way of testing those.
The head thing is a no since I cant find a way to only draw the head-graphics without deconstructing the drawing method and leaving out the body.
Sorry
Avokant 14. nov. 2023 kl. 0:25
Hey Mlie! I had a couple feature requests that would be awesome if implemented.
1. Ability to change save location for images in the mod menu.
2. A toggle or some kind of ability to save the head seperate from the body.

Thanks!

There are definitely some issues with overlapping alpha blending, but I'm pretty sure they're present in the game itself, you just don't notice them until you isolate the sprite and put it on a white background. I just backfill the sprites with black if they have such spots and you get basically what you see in-game.
파라과이 20. feb. 2023 kl. 1:34
I apologize if I've wasted your time.
파라과이 20. feb. 2023 kl. 1:34
Aliasing to borders. Yes, it's hard to see, but when magnified, it's annoying. also one thing is clear, though, when I looked at the image on the character editor, it was clearer even without the lighting and weather effects applied. But come to think of it, it wasn't a huge problem.
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 20. feb. 2023 kl. 1:27
@파라과이 Very hard to see there, but then its not resolution but some image effects? Perhaps weather effects and lighting?
파라과이 20. feb. 2023 kl. 1:24
If I'm not mistaken, the results of the save thing as image mod stand out for aliasing and dots. (shareable link) https://imgur.com/CU4gYmK
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 20. feb. 2023 kl. 1:14
@파라과이 I tested this and from what I can tell they look the same in game as saved.
Is there some other setting?
파라과이 19. feb. 2023 kl. 22:16
ah, also i turned off the vanilla framework expanded's 'texture cashing', so it works just fine in game, just exported version is not that hi res.
파라과이 19. feb. 2023 kl. 22:14
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/comments/2930015327 2048 resolution setting, i uses anthrosonae https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2902258418 and https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2890928741 krieg outfits, and camera+, and this save thing as image mod. i also uses the vanilla framework expanded and other mods, but i think the other mods are not involved to lowres picture problems
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 19. feb. 2023 kl. 21:57
@파라과이 It uses the in-game functions for rendering the images. Perhaps that mod overrides those, can you link to it?
파라과이 19. feb. 2023 kl. 21:45
I would like to get a slightly higher resolution image. It's sad that it's not as sharp as the in-game images obtained with photoshop and the hd pawn rendering mod ;( Is it possible to improve on this?
d_valroth 12. feb. 2023 kl. 10:24
Nice on the large creature fix, I had noticed that sufficiently large add on parts for pawns would exceed the capture area as well, so no more Photoshop fall backs. :)
Nianor 10. feb. 2023 kl. 10:00
@Mlie Thanks! That was impressively fast. Your record as one of the legends of Rimworld modding continues.
Doomsdayjob 10. feb. 2023 kl. 9:06
okay i guess i don't get it because i don't do modding
but i hope this will be good for the modding community!

This mod will increase my Mod making speed by 6x Times
Arylice 10. feb. 2023 kl. 6:43
"No, it will not apply external effects. At least not yet."
Good, I like my pictures clean
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 10. feb. 2023 kl. 6:39
@Nianor Skywolf Okay, I had another idea and it should now work on any large pawn.
Silly solution, I just scan the finished texture and see if the edge-pixels are transparent. If not I zoom out a bit and try again. Might cause a slight lag spike when generating very large pawns but it works.
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 10. feb. 2023 kl. 6:36
@Araylie No, it will not apply external effects. At least not yet.
Arylice 10. feb. 2023 kl. 6:34
"When used you can click on any Thing in game and it will export the graphic as seen in game."
:paw_confused:
Just to be clear, if there's rain and it is night time IN GAME,
the picture I take will have the rain and night effects?
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 10. feb. 2023 kl. 5:14
@Nianor Skywolf Tried that mod and it seems that it overrides the draw-size instead of changing the actual body-size of the pawn. You can see that in the portrait of the pawn since it is too big for that as well. This mod uses the same function for printing pawns as the colonist bar so should work with any pawn that changes the actual bodysize.
Signur 10. feb. 2023 kl. 3:21
*clap clap*

mod of the century
Arylice 10. feb. 2023 kl. 1:39
OMG, This is what I needed! Where were you?? It is a life changing mod for modders!
ChrisTheFool 10. feb. 2023 kl. 0:24
I didn't know I needed this, but its really cool! Thank you!
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 9. feb. 2023 kl. 23:34
@Nianor Skywolf Can you link to that mod?
Nianor 9. feb. 2023 kl. 23:14
I tested it on a Jotun from Big and Small Races, I suspect it's humanlike-specific.
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 9. feb. 2023 kl. 22:55
@Nianor Skywolf Tested it on Thrumbos and Mechs. What large pawns are you having issues with?
Weapons and other dynamic graphics is tricky. Ill add it to the list of things to do
Nianor 9. feb. 2023 kl. 22:29
(Also, would it be possible to make it also capture held items/weapons?)
Nianor 9. feb. 2023 kl. 22:28
This is awesome, doesn't seem to work right on oversized pawns though, it crops them too small.
Pablo Discobar 9. feb. 2023 kl. 21:08
Mlie, you and your works have been essential. Thank you!
bearhiderug 9. feb. 2023 kl. 18:25
just wiow
the potential!
Johnnyloo 9. feb. 2023 kl. 15:06
Your mod is the holy grail of vanilla styled mods. I thank you deeply for it
LeAnomalocaris 9. feb. 2023 kl. 14:27
Yay, no more cutting things out with Photoshop!
Thain 9. feb. 2023 kl. 13:23
This is awesome. Render Textures in memory have always been a memory issue. But this may come in handy as a way around that for other scenarios.
