Hello William, I have been experiencing problems when using this preset recently. Every time I try and load it, it fails and reads 'Failed to compile some effects'. They are all installed, except Marty McFly's Ray Tracing which I never had before and did no harm. Could you help?

@lisakki reshade presets come pre packaged into a single txt file each time you make one, I just saved it to a folder accompanied by some instructions and basically just set the file directory to the installation folder to load them

I am also working on an updated version of this mod anyways that uses a lot more subtle glows and such to ease on the eyes

You will need a decent graphics card, currently I am running gtx 1660ti to use the shaders, also yes the ray tracing is paid, you don't need to pay monthly only once to access the files and unfortunately for legal reasons I could not include the necessary files for McFly shaders so it will need to be sourced from the patreon. In order to change the glow you have to change some of the parameters in reshade's menu, this can be accessed by pressing the HOME key.

of course it's a stupid paid access patreon thing.

the ray tracing doesn't appear in the enabled filters when the preset is on. I have every single VFX downloaded (the ones that come with it). Do I need to download a separate file?

also is there a way to make the areas like the AMS not glow incredibly bright like in the GIF

Both doesn't launch outside of and inside of Black Mesa, sadly.
Wine doesn't do anything and unzipping reshade itself as advised by guides won't lead to any difference in-game either.

Not even the launcher itself? or in the game? Black Mesa uses an odd setup for Reshade

Can't get reshade to launch at all on Linux, guides don't help either

@WALL3T what do you mean? if you mean reshade you have to set up your presets folder through the in-game menu, I provided instructions on how to perform this in the txt file, hope this helps!

at first i didn t know that i need to download reshade but after i saw the installation steps it works,thx anyway a great pack i can say

@KennyS did you install Reshade by the specific version? Also what issues are you experiencing? Is it not working at all or are some shaders not showing up?

I get about 45 fps in most intensive situations personally. There's also a performance mode in reshade itself, if you want smoother frames you can also do it without the RTGI shaders by McFly

@e-du try verifying integrity of game files, it's likely that due to other mods you may have the game is conflicting and trying to install it and failing in an infinite loop
