@Rookie (ZOE) Honestly I actually plan to upload the "update" as a new mod/workshop item. I will be calling it Resurrection Revamp 3.0 . The reason being is because I have changed and added absolutely so much that it is an entirely new mod in a ton of ways from this version. I want the new mod on its own page to reflect those changes and it wouldn't feel right just adding it as an update to this one. Especially since no new players or past ones could see the mod got an update unless they have this one as a favorite. Once the new version is up I will have a link in this mods description to the new one. However I will be keeping both up because I want to give people the opportunity to play any version they want. I will also be sending out a upload notice on my discord server and other major Halo servers as well as my youtube channel when it's ready so you shouldn't miss it.

When you update this mod with the armor customization function added in Crow's Nest, will you update it so that it can be known it has said update to the current "featured" MCC mods on the workshop? Just thought i'd ask since it'd be rather tedious to check every now and then to see if said function has been added yet is all. ^^;

Thanks for updating this. Always love revisiting H3 levels in a chaotic way despite some of the overly unbalanced parts. Don't let some of the comments below discourage you. Looking forward to your hard work on the massive update for this! :halohotdrop::halospiritoffire:

I really like this mod! I think if I had one suggestion it's buffing ally health, all the crazy stuff happening overwhelms the ai really fast even on normal/heroic, but overall it's a very fun and chaotic mod

ive had mcc on pc since around 2020 and i love playing campaign mods. but if im being real this is the worst mod ive ever played. i agree with the comment below me, just because you can doesnt mean you should. all this mod does is import a whole bunch of random weapons from other games in the MCC. its the modding equivalent of throwing shit and banana peels at a wall and expecting people to call it art. i appreciate the effort put into this but every other revamp/overhaul mod that ive seen and played on mcc is way better

I don't mind some models changes and various weapons being added and what not but its just...eh. It just seems like slop to me. Like at least be consistent with some of these things. Halo 4 grunts right next to halo 2 anniversary brutes just seems wrong man, their styles don't match and are just extremely ugly to look at. I'm not even going to talk about the spamming of enemies in this because they're just absurd. I played 2.0 a few years ago and remember it being much better than it is now. So yeah, imo its just too bloated for no reason. DOESNT MEAN I DONT RESPECT THE MOD THOUGH CAUSE I DO.

@Bodyguard Thank you very much for the compliments about the mod! I'll let you in on a little secret, I have been working on a major update for this mod. Basically a whole new version with a lot more new stuff and polish. Spartan AI is one of the new things I have added.

@pristinepresident It's kind of in the name of the mod dude lol a complete revamp, a straight fan made overhaul. It's not something that's just a vanilla + or something. Try not to focus to heavy on differences that affect the lore friendly aspect cause it's certainly not trying to be so lol.

Give it another try, yeah it's got some quarks not to everyone's taste but the redone encounters alone and such make this a blast and often time feels like a battle instead of the lone wolf firefighting in some areas. As for the weapons just use what works for you and kill some brutes!!!

after coming back to this mod I literally quit after a quarter way through sierra 117. This mod is literally just the same exact thing as mythic overhaul now and that's a damn shame. Its literally just cramming as much content as possible in with zero thought. Halo CE, 2, 3, reach and even fucking 4 are ALL here. Why the FUCK are there multiple variants of the same WEAPON, that literally serve the exact same purpose. Its cool seeing everything here but there's no restraint at all with the content.

After having beat this mod i need to give my honest opinion about it. Straight up unfun is the best way to describe the mod, it has alot of really good things that make it a blast, but its overshadowed by the obnoxiously bad enemy placement, downright bullshit encounters and flat out trial and error of some combat encounters. The amount of times that enemies are put in your way that you have no way of killing without having the right weapons is too many to count in the latter half of the game, the Ark is full of hunter and Brute encounters that are impossible wthout rockets or lasers to kill, the Coveneant has the single worst section when you go to stop the rings from fireing. A long hallway full of sentinels, snipers, and 2 boss enemies in a cramped hall is henious, keep in mind im playing on Heroic and it feels like Legendary with some skulls slapped on, this mod needs a serious enemy rework.:

I gotta be honest about something that really bugged me about this, the revenant and Spirt dropship cannons are way, WAY to strong for what they are, killing your entire crew with one shot is outrageous for a dropship to be able to do, let alone the revenant, it makes them so insanely overpowered if your fighting them without overwhelming numbers or rockets. It makes Tsavo Highway so much harder for no reason.

for some reason theres a bunch of halo 4 grunts in some places. They dont match the lighting or the art style at all and it feels really uncanny. Besides that the mod is really cool

I actually liked this a lot. Ammo got kind of scarce in some points for human weapons (I try to only use human weapons personally) but it was really cool to see the addition of extra allies, tons of new toys to play with, and continuity between the three games with weapons, armors, and different marine/ odst uniforms. Somewhat odd to have grunt, elite, and hunter allies and enemies at the same time, but makes a degree of since given the context in the lore. Only things I thought were out of place were the Johnson, Miranda, and Arbiter appearances. First two being from H2A and the arbiter from Halo Wars. Those arbiter models are two entirely different elites. I believe he's a different race of elites (like humans have asian, white, etc.) but I could be wrong. Miranda looked very uncanny valley. But here and Johnson's models also defaulted to the original Halo 3 version most of the time too, which I didn't mind personally. All in all though, very well done. I had a lot of fun!

@WarPorcus Sorry for the confusion. Scarab's normally only have 1 core but I added a second inside to make the scarab more of an actual challenge forcing the player to go inside and kill ai instead of being able to pretty easily destroy it on the back. There are 2 carbine versions. The halo 4 one is a hold to charge and fire but it has explosive rounds. There are some areas where I added additional waves of enemies that the player has to hold off and kill to progress I wanted to make it almost like a mini firefight and give the player some more fun combat. Again sorry for the confusion but I'm glad you're having fun with the mod! @Onyx2589 thanks for helping him out with the info!

@Onyx2589 Oh, I see. I should've known. That kind of thing happened several times in this mod already, where you have to kill all enemies etc. before it allows you to progress.

I had the same issue. I had to kill the next several waves of enemies first before Spark opened the door. It took well over 15 minutes of killing just to get past that point. Hope this helps.

Another update: Its still a problem. I destroyed both cores. The alarm sounded. The Scarab 'exploded', but for some reason, the wreck is still pretty much intact, and allied vehicles around it kept acting as if its 'alive'. E.g they keep shooting at it.

Additionally, a Revenant is stuck in its energy field for some reason. The revenant is indestructible. I finally shot at it with a Scorpion and the driver is dead, but the revenant remains intact.

Consequently, 343 Guilty Spark is stuck just firing its beam at the door without the door actually opening, locking me out of progression.

Sorry man. I think I may have to just skip this level. Shame because its been so great so far.

Adding an update: I figured it out! That last scarab, for some reason, has TWO power cores. One at the back, as any other Scarab. And the other inside, down the ramp.

Weird. This is the first time I replayed Halo 3 after a year or so not playing, but I don't remember Scarabs having two power cores.

Oh, also, Carbines don't work here either. I think Carbines are broken in your mod. Aside from that, its been an absolutely fun experience so far. Will definitely keep playing this.

Oh, I just remembered something else. Also on Crows Nest: I can't fire the Carbine for some reason. Specifically, I picked one up in the control room where I was supposed to reactivate the bomb. It had ammo. It could zoom. But couldn't fire.

This is a great mod! I enjoy it! The fights are fantastic. The addition of allies is very welcome. The expanded combat is quite good!

However, there are some bugs. I'm on 'The Ark' now, and I noticed two things:

1. On Crows Nest, for some reason, the Assault Rifle is different. It sounds deeper than the AR you got earlier, fires tracer, and has heavier recoil. Additionally, firing while scoped pushes you out of scope. Kinda like when you get hit.

2. On the Ark, however, there is a bigger deal. Boarding the last Scarab before entering the facility, I have destroyed the power node thing at the back. However, after expending every plasma cannon, grenades, and ammo at it (the shield is destroyed), the Scarab doesn't explode like it should. It just stood back up and resumed firing. I don't know if this is scripted or something, but I don't know how to move forward.

Can you help?

Man, no problem, you earned 'em. Yeah I'll play the others too, without a doubt. I tried out 5 of the other popular overhauls for Halo 3 and I've found my favourite (not trying to suck you off too hard here mate lol), so for your first mod, this is pretty awesome.

I've played through Crows Nest so far, and I had a lot of fun. Every single segment of that mission - every firefight - had so much character to it, So many moments where I caught myself smiling, or just having a blast.

Love the unique guns too. If you ever update this mod again, totally put in some unique icons for the new weapons. The only thing that feels out of place are those floaty guys from Halo 2 making a brief appearance. Otherwise, no comblaints so far. P.S. do you know any way to remove bullet magnetism from the game?

I am a very big person on immersion in a game and the world that it builds so my goal was to keep everything grounded and very Halo feeling and just building and expanding upon what was an already great game and I am glad that vision got through for you. This was actually my first mod so if you enjoy this you will likely enjoy my ODST mod and my Halo 2 remake mod because those refine and expand even more on this mod. Soooo I played it. Holy cow, this is possibly the best vanilla+ overhaul. Honestly, I think it's better than Mythic if just for the AI being way better and the added pure (and unexpected) AWESOMENESS I'm witnessing from my (copious) teammates.

Like, how did you manage to stuff so much stuff into such little space and have it feel cohesive, somewhat plausible and fun to play? It really just feels like vanilla+(+++), and I can't get over how cool and natural it is to see all my allies pushing and shouting and holding back... there's so much stuff going on, and yet my usually precious sense of immersion hasn't been compromised. What the heeelll this is sick!

this is honestly soo cool they should have hired you when the game was being made lol! I love seeing the elites, grunts and humans hunkering down with each other on the mission where chief regroups w KEYS. also the halo 2 brutes are my favorite so im rlly glad you added them! and don't let me get started on that ester egg you tossed in with the ODSTS From alpha-nine!?! just peak :steamthumbsup: ... only complaint is the hostile elites bc its not lore friendly.

@gavinstephan99 Thank you very much I'm glad you enjoyed it and props for beating it on legendary and getting so far on LASO. I am not working on this particular mod right now and am working on a new concept project Halo 2 ODST. I may come back to this mod to update it at some point though. The lights being off is probably an issue in the function and I need to fix it, thank you for letting me know! If you enjoyed this mod you'll probably enjoy my mod for ODST as well. I made it after this one and it uses all the same assets but more polished and all new stuff as well.

Really enjoyed the mod, beat it on legendary and tried LASO eventually giving up at the Covenant lol, but you did a great job making the game more large scale with the amount of armor variations and new enemy types. I was curious if you were still working on adding to the mod and if the friendly elites armor lights were intentional turned off unless damage is taken

@Dr Bright (UIU) That's very weird and I've never heard about that issue before. I suggest uninstalling the mod and verifying your game files in steam and then running the game as vanilla with anti cheat on and then install the mod again.

I'm going to be honest. There are some cool things to this mod such as introducing more alien allies and new encounters. Problem is that these encounters towards the mid point are not balanced at all. AI just sits around at times doing nothing. The 343 Carbine doesn't fire, the Falcon on Tsavo Highway where the Shielded Scarab is does not ascend on its own nor does it have weapons.
