left 4 dead has a really odd precaching error at times, especially for survival, uncontrollable despite my best efforts really.

yeah i see now. this map works for the first time and second time need to restart the game, but why is it like that?

did you happen to exit the map then try to start it again on the same play session, cuz that causes precache errors.

@Cutter.X13 I said as long as it isn't a gamebreaking mod, so something like enhanced bots or Left 4 Bots is fine.

so far biggest issue is the absence of melee weapons, the generic pistols and deagle aren't enough to hold off the hordes, but i'm making them work

Yes, restart your game, as I just said, Left 4 Dead doesn't cache mods properly, so upon exiting a map then launching it again, the assets won't load properly.

you sure ? i start the map then i forgot to activate one of my mod so i back into the menu i activate it i start the map then now ERROR everywhere

Restart your game, that's a Left 4 Dead 2 precache error, nothing I can do to fix that.

I would use the arena version but implement anything missing that's in the control point version and maybe more.
