Kinda sad to see a lack of zeds here. The place was completely vacant when I got there. There's a few military boxes around, but these are empty also. Fine if intended, but yeah. Would be nice for this place to have a "lived in" feel - like they straight up abandoned the place as they got overrun.

I would suggest adding a few random cardboard boxes,coolers and such like if you don't want military loot here

@Bauhina_K i'm pretty sure the military or something tried to blow up the bridge in order to limit or stop the infection from spreading but that is just my theory based the already existing PZ lore

@Rostig Sadly if they uses same cell somehow, you just can overwrite one or another.

Tested it with West Point Expansion. Unfortunately seems like Bridge Out isn't compatible and gets overridden. Although maybe that can be fixed through load order stuff but I'm not sure.

@ProtecTron Yep, noticed and fixed the doors bug. I'm still looking fo that rendering bug which is a bit weird.

BTW, some small, insignificant stuff I saw: the fence gates were a bit off, weird opening with the creation of a new tile on opening, also, I've the SecretZ v1, so I don't have some tiles you use now. The new signs saying "Checkpoint" or "Stop, bridge out" and the big barrels rendered behind the player model.

This forced me to walk a whole night. In the dark, with sprinters, injured, thirsty and with little chance to find shelter. I made it to the nearest town north-east wich I've never really been before, jumped the wooden fence and fought for a small house. Now i'm settling a safehouse in the food market.

This particular map changes gameplay for good! Keep it up! :steamthumbsup:

@baggyisout trying to add a map into a host server, but it won't load in for some reason. I try to fix the issue but, it seems i cant. Sorry about not replying

@ProtecTron Hey! Well, in theory it should work for a non visited cell, in theory at least, you can try and check. Anyway if you used any other of the mods like SecretZ, you won't see any of the stuff in the in-game map, so even if it doesn't show it should be there xD

OMG another map from Chakal16 :steamhappy: Epic! I've not been in the train station yet lol! I'm guessing this is all "secret", and intentionally hidden in the world map...

Hence, I have a quick question:
¿does workshop maps (normal ones) appear in the game and in the game-map when added in an existing save??? Of course, If I haven't visited ocuppied cells...

Yeah I figured it was probably aesthetic. Maybe one day we'll get to go WWZ on a zombie hoard with a MG. Thanks for the clarification, as I know many map mod makers use tile sets for stuff and was uncertain if this would work.

Really loving how you do the pandemic mods. revamps interesting areas with more stuff and environmental storytelling, but allows me to pick and choose specific areas for that content. One question though, is that 50.cal in the screen shot an in game asset or do I need to download a tile set or other mod for it to work?

@ULTRA MONSTER servers are weird like that. you have to add maps in a different way, not sure how but it isnt the mods fault

What you did is perfect, I usually only block off the west point end and blow the train bridge up but then I block up the main bridge with extremely damaged military vehicles that are a pain to move

@Krytera That's nice, you just need to tweak it as you really want bcs i not really cutting totally the pass.

@SaSquatch From vanilla i really felt that, there is no signs of military resistance or evacuations, not more than the checkpoint at Louisville.

I would argue this works with canon. Vanilla only mentions a facility in the zone that was holding people... and that's basically it. My headcanon takes it as a lockdown in the zone as they study the outbreak. Works with Expanded Helicopters various paper flyers. Your checkpoints work with this as a means for Mil to stop movement in the zone. Later, Mil would turtle up and these checkpoints would turn into ad hoc evacuation points/safe zones that people would flock to as things devolved. Even add in my headcanon of Blackwood not actually being a safezone but just a method to medically screen people to further research the virus. Rolling some Fallout vibes. Further, add in RavenCreek as an intentional infection, explaining why it's barricaded so well, before the virus mutated and spread.

I've built this area up several times on my RP server as a way to keep people from going to Louisville too early so this is awesome to have so I save time

@Chakal16 I should have said that I personally wouldnt have expected whole towns reworked. Thats alot and I get that! So no worries there! I was more or less saying that the checkpoints and military areas add ALOT of immersion! I am super stoked about the train yard camp! That place isnt really worth going to as it sits in my opinion so giving us a reason to go there is pretty awesome!

@SleepyNotDead @Postal Well is a bit complicated rework poblated vanilla areas even if i would like to do so, at the moment im reworking places around towns and cities. Right now im making a new version of the muldraugh train depot as a military containment place, ill see how keeps going

Agreed with @SleepyNotDead. Vanilla has 0 indication that there every was any type of military occupation within the zone which is just flat out wrong by any standard in a strategic sense.
Obviously first the military would quarantine but after that they would move in to clear the closed off area.
These mods do a good job telling a story about the military attempting to do something in the area but ultimately failed.

Loving these pandemic map mods, adds lots of environmental storytelling.

You should consider making a major map mod that makes one of the vanilla towns all fenced up with military checkpoints and vehicle wreckages everywhere!
