The real answer is that they're gonna be in your steam workshop folder, under the steam ID of Project Zomboid (don't remember it off the top of my head), then in the workshop mod folder, which has the ID above (292...). The sound files are .ogg I believe.

The files know where they are, because the files know where they aren't. By being where they are, they can determine how far they are from where they aren't with a simple rule: document-based filesystems

This mod is conflicting with "Vanila Vehicle Enhancer" Mod. Your mod make all the cars that using sirens are vanila

Look at the file structure of this mod. What torin did is add new .OGG audio files, made them into usable sound variables using a script file, and then linked them into a vehicle script file.

Nice work on these, such a minor feature you'd think would exist. But executed very well. Legit constantly use this now!

Update! Changed the EMS siren and added a new airhorn for fire department vehicles. Video updated to reflect new changes. Let me know what you think of them!

@MasterBuilder I'm sorry, I don't think I can. You can try changing the mod order to prioritize that mod loading in and then modifying the files of that mod itself
(C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\2788428718\mods\vanilla_vehicle_enhancer_MI\media\scripts\vehicles, change the soundSiren = VehicleSiren beneath lightbar for siren variety, VehicleSiren for Police, EmsSiren for EMS, FireSiren for Fire)

I love the Siren variety

I wish in the future there was a sub mod to help with compatibility between this mod and modded Emergency Vehicles

@Doe Sadly they will not. Modded vehicles are configured to use the default siren, so you will lose the variety and any modded vehicles will only use the police sirens.

Sorry to bug you with this since lot's of people are asking similar question, but if I'm using a mod that changes the vanilla cars, specifically Vanilla Vehicle Enhancer or Small Town First Responders, the sirens should still work normally if they use vanilla sirens right? Or will they not because they're different models/textures?

@Milat2 There may be issues if they replace or edit any of the vanilla emergency vehicles. Any modded vehicles if they use sirens will unfortunately default to the police sirens, as in this mod they are the replacements of the old default siren.

Is it compatible with modded cars ? Like autostar or fwgdgdw

@Novashrugs I'm not aware of any, but this mod will conflict with anything that modifies the vanilla emergency vehicles: the police, fire and ambulance vehicles

hm, are you aware of any possible mod incompatibilities? or should I have a certain order for loading it?

@Novashrugs I'm not sure what could be causing that, especially since it sounds like the other siren settings work? It might be an issue on your end unfortunately

@Willow Should be! It only switches around sound files so it shouldn't produce any issues

Added it to an ongoing menu-hosted server, certain "Alarm" settings just have no noise.
