It appears as Slumpmod, I tried it at FFAsolo game and i dont have any shields or different terciary weapon. Also parry directin doesnt work

@Genki Hey - by coincidence I tried loading up the mod a few days ago just out of curiosity. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work on the current build of Chivalry anymore. Sorry about that :(

@Omar, you are welcome and thanks for the mod! Doesn't look like there is a lot of modders with free time on their hands who find Mordhau not quite satisfying enough as it is. I guess that only leaves me as the potential candidate... My modding experience, however, is pretty much nil. So, it would be better if someone else tried to do that instead. But if all else fails, I might give it a try.

Thanks for the comments @Surveyor If someone is keen to make a Warmod for Mordhau, I'd be happy to lend a hand (though I wouldn't lead the charge). I can offer some pointers on how to use the engine too.

After trying out Mordhau for a while I have to say that in some ways this mod is very much ahead of it... If only Mordhau could be modded to incorporate some of its mechanics like the directional blocking.

Does this mean if you have a shield on your back people can't attack from behind?

Too bad this mod is no longer worked on. Until Mordhau is out, this seems like the closest thing. I just wish the charging and dodging was removed.

Is there a way to turn off directional blocking?

It's a Souls-style open world game, so its mostly PvE with incidental PvP (possibly a dedicated PvP mode also). The combat involves grabs and grapples, binding/winding attacks, a realistic armour system...lots of cool stuff in prototyping. Very different visual design/gameplay appeal to the other slashers.

A new slasher game ? Sounds great ! Pay attention though, Mordhau and Mount and Blade 2 are right around the corner. What will make blackguard special ?

@One The mod's not in development anymore, hasn't been for over a year. So it's pretty likely it's been broken by any patch updates to Chiv during that time.

This mod simply doesn't work. Blocking in all directions does not play an animation nor do anything and half-swording doesn't function at all.

Looks like Mordhau came early.

i play via steam, and there is no launcher that allows me to download this mod. how can i install it?

If the mod does not work, try playing with the launcher, then in the bottom right corner, click the download mods button thing. Then when it finishes, play chivalry, and choose the mod in create game. Go to library and click play to run launcher.

I can't get it to work with the console command, also it doesn't show up in the mods section on the right, while choosing maps / gamemodes.

This Mod is Amazing. Bots block more often.Weapon And Class play a bigger role with more individual. You sir, just make me love knight even very much.

I don't understand what these people are talking about. Mod works fine with or without bots.

After playing with it for a few dozen hours, there is no way I can return to vanilla Chivalry, it makes me feel like skill was lost.

I just wish people actually played it. lol

I'm sorry it's not working, but as I mentioned I'm not working on the mod anymore. Its likely that updates to chivalry have wrecked the mod, since the last released version of Warmod worked perfectly when it was released. All I can say is, I'm working on an independent melee combat game in Unreal 4 (same engine as Mordhau) that will be everything Warmod was, and much much more.

It simply does not work.I did everything you wrote in the very little of a sentance how to actually play the god damn mod.And it just makes everything laggy,buggy.Dead character models come to life and allies jumping up and down stuck in the ground,there are no enemies,and nothing that the mod promised works.

Thumbs up for this mod, although there maybe not that many chiv players as in the past, this is stil the best mod for chiv atm

If you want to play against other players, host or pay to host a dedicated server. I am not longer supporting and paying for Warmod servers, since not many people play Chivalry anymore. You're welcome to do so, though.

Can someone help?
It does not work.I downloaded the mod.Started a match with the console command and there was the modname=War behind it aswell,and it just plays like a normal match.(Or bugs out and the bots won't move at all)

Steam automatically installs the mod once you hit the Subscribe button on this page. Hit Subscribe, run the game, and the mod will automatically install.

To run the mod, open the console by pressing the ` key (should be above Tab on your keyboard). Type in:

open aocto-darkforest_p?modname=War

and hit enter. The mod should now run. You can replace "aocto-darkforest_p" with any other map (type in the word maplist to the same console, and you'll get every map name. Scroll up and down the maplist using page up and down.)
