I think they're too cheap for the storyteller to buy with raid points. Once you start getting a thousand-plus raid point raids sent on you, there tends to be an apocalyptic amount of roombas instead of a variety of mechs

Swarms can be fun challenges to deal with, but when a colony of 8 just barely getting blowback reasearch has 60 stabbies and boomies pouring into their base, something's up
