@BreakinBenny It's still crap! Because when I found the model I needed in this asset browser, when I tried to open this model, a window popped up first with instructions, and then with the model settings, but I couldn't open the model, although I followed the instructions

do you know if this messes with workshop downloads? it couldve been just luck but i downloaded this and i noticed alittle later i cant download anything from the workshop anymore

It only shows items in the usermod folder and not the workshop one.

I happen to have 8 years of content stored up at over 489 GB and a single scan would take ages. Is there a way to make it continue from where it stopped instead of starting over?

I don´t know someone ask this but Is there a option to load this script when you open the sfm for the first time? I ask this because when i open the sfm the asset browser appear like a empty extension tab

I might just have to work around this in a future update.

No idea what goes wrong, but it just refuses to work for me; the same "error writing to assetTags.json" message appears; then "no json object could be decoded". Tried reinstalling the script, it has no effect.
I saw it showing processing something in my cmd once or twice, but it ends up the same regardless.

Too bad, that one could be really helpful.

You did great with this script, mate. Loading stuff from this instead of Valve's Hammer browser is a treat!

For the next update or so, would it be possible to have the mainmenu script automatically spawn a placeholder animation set at the 0,0,0 coordinates so we always have something to run "asset_browser_import_models.py" on? If need be, use "models\editor\playerstart.mdl" as the model!

Is it possible for it to pull the current loaded modlist from gameinfo for searching/indexing? Ticking what mods I have enabled (remembering them alone, even) can be a bit tiring.

You need to click on the "Scripts" button at the top of SFM, then navigate to "KiwifruitDev" and click "Asset Browser". Hope this helps. ^^

As for use cases, I see the tags feature as helping most with project management - especially over SCM (perforce, git, etc.), alongside bypassing memory problems with the default model browser, providing thumbnails for repeat assets, and ease of use when it comes to modifying textures with VTFEdit.

Some general quality of life improvements have been made.
The mod path issue has also been fixed, it stemmed from mixed-case path names.

Also, now there's documentation on each component.
