From the large map with spread out troops, remains of ambushed convoys,
many named characters who have dialogue, exposition about the missions setting,
varied starting forces, different objectives to pursue, even warcrimes . It all come together to make ''Average day on the job as imperial guard" and theres alot of fun to be had in that.
For example I lined up my troops to charge Ketchvp hill and overwhelm the defenders. Before they even reached the hill base though mortar and machine gun fire caused 70% casualties and the rest had to crawl away. Only three Ogryn made it to the hill and continued the attack, despite heavy fire raining down on them they successfully cleared out the heavy weapon crews and allowed a second charge to take the hill. I decided each Ogryn should be awarded the shiniest medals available as a reward.
If your looking to scratch an imperial guard itch then play this.
