well since you tested it we now know that this mod wont interfere with Forest Encounters
so thanks for that ^^

Did exactly that at it´s most likely some of the other 85 mods I have currently active.
So I gave up troubleshooting, because it would take a few days. Especially since I´d have to check every single mod on a new campaign, because save compatibility.

to be honest i cant recal what "Forest Encounters" are

it would be rather strange if there is an issue regarding that comming from this mod
but to be 100% certain

disable all other mods start only with this mod and try to reach such an encounter
regardles if you get the issue again or not -> you have your answer

I have a question I´d like to clarify.
Is it possible that your mod interferes with the Forest Encounters?
If I walk onto it, I don´t get the popup window with choices.

Iam not sure if it´s this mod or if I have to go digging more into my modlist, but since I don´t have that many Woodelves specific mods, this was my first guess.

Is the Spirit vassal compatible with 'The Old World' mod? Tried it out for a little bit, but wasn't seeing the option to gift cities to the vassal.

yes, the ai will automaticly return captured provinces to the player, if they are defined to be returned. now the question still stands -> what regions would the ai return to the player
1. arround specific areas
or
2. simply all but that would remove its ability to grow

The regions that are returned automatically are normally mentioned in the mod script

it seems the one AI occupy. If you set the region he try to occupy to return to player once he occupy, it automatically return the next turn.

but what regions would the ai in this case return? maybe the direct borders of the world trees, hmm

If you go play Dark Elves their buildings are changed and they also have the spirits of the forest "kinda" is this intended?

Thanks, I found the incompatibility after some digging. It turns out theres an UI incompatibility with ChopChop's mod: Additional Buildings: Bastions, Forts & Gates. So its the same incompatibility as with the vampire campaign flavor mod, which BluebirdSialis mentioned in that mods page.

What can i use the spirits pf the forest for? im starting to get public order debuffs and cant figure out where i can spend them. I have a lot of mods that might conflict so that i cant spend them, but knowing where they should be spent would help me figure out where the conflict might be. Amazing mod, thanks!

This looks amazing! I'm more of an RPer than a map painter and enjoy having vassals, sometimes being one (gasp). This makes so much sense as wood elf faction, it's pure genius. I really like Tzeentch and even Slaneesh, but the corruption isn't exactly nice to look at... I've been kind of wishing for a nice, pretty corruption haha

You dont need to extract the Spirit of the Forest Faction, just use this mod.

much simpler than figuring out what goes into the mod.
and look at his work, there is a chance that you can finde the one you want to create there
link to his mods after you are finished.

For the slave system use my other mod

it is much easier to finde what is important for the slave system and the rituals in there

That's the only thing that is glaringly annoying though, aside from that great mod, terrific work, and it plays really nicely! :steamhappy: Helps with the theme a lot to have slightly more custom resources and mechanics, but the slave mechanic is one that can't just be ripped, it has to always be adjusted a little since the base mechanic itself is awkward, and so niched that by default it won't fit properly into other race's gameplay. Love all of the other additions that this brings though!

Although interesting, "Lore wise" specifically it would make the most sense that at the very least, Drycha and Durthu also have access to the Spirits of the Forest vassals. Especially considering they themselves are forest spirits, it would make the most sense for them to install their brothers and sisters to watch over their newly budding glades.

Also, critical criticism here, the actual slave-type resource needs to be workshopped way more, because it is completely useless. Since the only thing I can spend it on, are 4, 5 turn global cooldown buffs for the province, and a minuscule amount of money, which also has the same constraints.Trying to build defenses to secure expansions, GIVES YOU MORE spirits of the forest, meaning your production will inevitably outpace the very small hardcapped amount that you are able to spend, and give you stacking debuffs.

The recruitability from T1 and moreover the econ from major settlements makes this otherwise lovely mod way too OP ez.
