Honestly I like that it heats up even the UI.
It's a funny effect.

I am aware why the black screen can appear, I was just wondering how it wasn't working for that person. Since they haven't replied, I'm going to assume they fixed it and it was a mod incompatibility.

@Slugcat When shader throws error somewhere in background it just makes entire screen black when starting run no mater the room or floor. There other solution for @SkjalgGK is to update GPU drivers and also set to use correct GPU, but if problem is that it's emulated in Crossover on MacOS, well... I don't know since i don't have Mac or any of Apple products at all

@Henrykado I don't feel it is necessary. There are only 2 commands and they're pretty simple to understand. I don't want to over-complicate the mod.

@SkjalgGK How is it not working? Is there a black screen or is the effect not appearing when in a room with lava? Try disabling other mods first to see if it's this mod. Let me know if you find out it is a mod incompatibility.

Would be nice to have this line in shaders.xml "<fragment><![CDATA[#version 130" so people on non Windows machines wouldn't have black screen when starting/continuing run

I'll make that a setting, the only thing I can do is just render the hud again which looks a little funky cause you can still see the one behind it waving.

woah this is a solid idea, good work! I'd suggest finding a way to make it not affect the UI though, it seems like it would be a bit annoying to look at your active item charges and see it trippily waving.

just spitballing but this suggestion may also reduce potential motion sickness as well!
