Well funny enough you say that, later versions of the game have actually entirely omitted the part of them being married last I checked whether due to trying to keep it "accurate" or the more likely political/erasure related reason.

Also, after looking at some of those heroes/legends i agree with you, there are quite a few "stinkers", as the kids would say.
