Yes, it is still required. Updated to 1.6.
This mod is an really simple patch so it is version agnostic unless something inside of Rimworld or VPE defs changes, which is unlikely.

@Nick Wolf, not for me to do I'm afraid. Neither plants nor this mod are mine, I've just moved the category. You could try asking the dev directly for an tab icon.

Rolled out an update.

Apparently ingredients for meals are defined as "Meat" and "NonMeat" - "MeatRaw" and "PlantFoodRaw" respectively. And I took fruits away from the category, making them unfilerable. Whoops...

The only visual change is "Fruit" tab now is under "Vegetarian" tab, which makes sense I suppose.

With this mod loaded, I had fruit as an allowed ingredient in carnivore fine/lavish meals. Removing the mod changed it back.

This is probably because the parent of VCE_Fruit was changed from PlantFoodRaw to FoodRaw; the recipe excludes vegetarian ingredients by excluding the PlantFoodRaw category.

@AZGreentea, it's vanilla, in the bottom right of the screen there is an button labeled "Toggle categorized mode on the resource readout".

What mods are there to collapse the categories?
