This mod does some funky stuff to the new Vanilla Vehicles / VFE Mechanoids mod. Seems to break context menu, after one comes back from a caravan. Really inconsistent though.

Support for Alpha Mechs has been added!

Would it be possible to get a patch for Alpha Mechs, so that the bosses added by that mod follow the same system with the regular bosses from this mod?

indeed, the cratering was successful, and it didnt fully destroy the mech, good mod regardless

Please note I have drastically changed the functionality of this mod. Mech chips now remain inside the mech until it is shredded or smashed at a crafting spot or machining table. Another mod exists for the previous functionality.

This'll be handy, while the 4000lb bomb I dropped on my first boss didnt kill it, I've been gearing up for another boss and plan to crater this mf one with a 21000lb bomb, hopefully this will stop me from wasting the steel, and the fool on the other end

Fair enough, I had missed that! I'll work on the update mentioned to have them extracted from mechanoids, to make this mod different. :)

I do agree, and thinking that might be what I'll update the mod to do. Friend or Foe, you'd want the chip if shredded. Just might make things more complex before you get the machining research (although can still smash at a craft spot).

You know, Ludeon should've just made these chips drop when the mechanoid was shredded at the machining table as a by product. This way you'd need to destroy the entire mechanoid body before the chip was destroyed in combat. It makes no sense that the mechanoids just pop their their chips out of their body the moment they are defeated.
