I gotta agree, the normal texture is fine it's whatever that it's a real corpse but this looks a lot more better quality wise

i never had a problem with looking at a dead body, but this just outclasses the grimy, blurry texture that was used

this is better because it looks close to the same but i know im not looking at a real dead guy

In all honesty I agree with Gavin on this one. You guys are all up-in-arms and blowing out of proportion the actual origin of the texture of this model to the point where it seems more like y'all are mocking it rather than being sympathetic or disgusted of it. Like, sure, the thought of it being what it is is a bit unsettling, but, come now, surely there's no need to be so dramatic about a medical forensic textbook photograph.

And yes, I know Valve using it as a texture is weird af, but if you all knew some of the textures game developers use as stuff you all would be rolling in your sleep -- like, how in one of the spongebob games the trees' texture is human fecal matter... Which isn't as bad as, say, this, but... Yeah. It's a medical forensic photograph of a burnt human face. What's new?

I will just put this last note here, and leave it as that, but people play GMod to have a good time, it's not a serious game like half-life, I am not so much horrified by it as much as I am just generally uncomfortable. It's a lot nicer to know that the model and such is not actually a forensics image. I had to look at the original texture for quite a bit just to edit the playermodel version(matching the colours) but I never lost sleep over it, I was just a bit uncomfortable looking at it. It's subjective and that's why there is a subscribe button, you don't have to press it. If you really wanted to, you could make a mod that makes ALL corpses from real images. Just be nice to each other (:

I dont really care that the Corpse uses a real burnt face, its common in game development and theres more worthy things to be horrified over, but this is much nicer than the other one floating around, and arguably fits better because the original corpse face didnt get the hair redrawn that stands out from the rest of HL2s artstyle.

Kudos to Dugma even if i disagree with the sudden existence of skins like these.
