How to go through this? Except for the clock, nothing was done to do

Some potential here, but definitely needed some kind of guidance, Not sure if there are bugs, but we had some issues for sure.

item placement would not reset, meaning if you place the item and pick it back up you cannot place it again.

Would really help to have a hint or guide of some sort, we were really stuck and had to abandon this room all together in the end. We had high hopes, and I'm sure others have enjoyed it, but we were totally lost. We caught that there were similarities and differences in both the rooms, but alas.
