This seems super cool, but genuinely didn't know what to do in that first loop. Couldn't figure out how to progress or get back to where I started. Cube on either button didn't seem to help. Any hints?

JK; good map. If you make some custom materials (don't even need custom textures), you can make the puzzlemaker segment use the proper wall textures.

I think you have a very interesting idea here. I just have no idea what it is. I ran in a figure eight for a few minutes and then I skipped. But that doesn't mean you aren't on to something.
