The advent of sterile environments and insta-cure drugs is neither here nor there. Not having an immune system literally means you shouldn't even live past age 5, ultratech or no ultratech.
In my case the genes were slow diseases, no immunity, and anti biotics resitance. This makes the VRE genies generate without those genes but you can also go through and disable all the VRE genies anti biotics while in cherry picker as well. Get's the same effect as this mod but more of a DIY without having to install something else if you already have cherry picker and don't like the bloat drugs. Then again if the immunity/medical genes are disabled or removed from the genies then you basically don't need the VRE genies drugs anyways so comes full circle lol

Anyway I like the original design as a challenge too, I just know that for the first few playthroughs I'll be ok with it but then I'll probably be a bit annoyed to have to manage genies further down the line, so this is essentially a patch I'm making to try my hand at patches and for future playthroughs.
And also I find it kind of funny because in my mind superintelligent genies would likely see this flaw and remove it. And since you can kinda play the original mod and extract any genies you find to recreate this version, I would assume most people that access xenogene equipement would think of the same idea.
Also, because some people will probably think just that sort of thing.
The only thing irritating me is the title. Claiming that yours are just "better" seems a bit.. eh?
I'd suggest calling them "Streamlined Genie" or the like. It would give less attack vector to someone wanting to complain about your mod "insulting" the original or whatever.
I think the essence of your description, that is that the disease/immunity/antibiotics spiel is essentially self contained and exists as a layer of challenge, is a good statement.
