@lartur, as I said before, this cannot be changed to what you want. If you want to keep all your country's resource stockpile you need to change your trade law.

In fact, it is not about directly limiting imports in any way, but about ensuring that stored resources do not wrongly affect the value of own extraction/production, because this is what is happening now and that is why exports are increasing.
If the inventories in storage will not erroneously affect own production, then exports will not increase erroneously, because I am talking about extra-curricular exports all the time, which increases with the increase in inventories, because the value of own production increases erroneously with the increase in inventories, which is clearly a mistake the algorithm itself, which is unnecessarily based on its own mining.

@lartur, @TheReignMan I understand your issue but as I have stated in a previous conversation in this thread, there is only one modifier to programmatically add resources to a country's stockpile: country_resource_<resource>, but this modifier doesn't let me choose if the resources can be exported or not. So, the issue is not with the algorithm, but with the limitations the HOI4 dev team give to us modders.

You have to understand what people are asking for with this mod. They want the ability to stockpile resources for strategic use later in the game.

For example, if I'm playing as Japan and want to use up civilian factories to trade for oil that I know I will need later in high quantities, this mod should allow a player to trade, stockpile, and keep in reserve to never be touched until the appropriate time to be used for war.

This is what nations did in the real world, shouldn't be too hard to change the algorithm to reflect the same actions.

You are definitely correct in your post. The mod does not work properly as it is described in its title. If resource storage is to occur, any excess resource available after extraction, use, and trade should be added to a national stockpile.

Once a national stockpile has been established it should NEVER be subject to resource available to export because it is surplus resource needed for strategic reserve.

This idea that oh its always subject to export and you never actually create a national stockpile is foolish and yes it is an incorrect algorithm.

Unfortunately, your explanation is not entirely correct.
Your too simple algorithm can't handle the complexity of the problem.

It is not true that it is only the fault of increasing exports (which in fact takes place because the stock of the warehouse mistakenly increases the amount of "extracted", which in turn causes an increase in exports), because this summed up with needs still does not exceed a positive value
( because extracted + import > exported + need).
So the stock in the warehouse should increase anyway, but to a lesser extent.
But it doesn't, because "extrakted" is actually smaller than it is displayed because of your algorithm.

If your algorithm didn't cause a false increment of "extracted", then everything should work properly, because the inventory would increase or decrease daily based on the action: (extracted + imported) - (exported + need).

So I still stand by my opinion that your MOD is not working properly.

Not working, it stores only the daily plus, so for example if you have 5 tungsten, after 10 days you don't have 50 tungsten, you have 5, the same you have after 2 days, 3 days or 4 days, etc.

With two rubber magazines (capacity 200), the increment per magazine stops for me at 11. It does not accumulate stock to a capacity of only 11..

@DeHelleman , the other mod overwrites the buildings.txt file, which is need for this mod. You could fix this by merging the two buildings.txt files.

Ok, so I have 2 rubber storage built and I'm importing 16 with a surplus of 2. The reserve goes up until it gets to 20 then the reserve empties. At the same time my rubber number goes up and turns the yellow that means I'm importing too much. This then repeats, making it impossible to fill my reserve.
