I understand wanting realism, but there's an option to change the colors to what you want, at will. If people want to limit themselves to only blue and orange, that's fine, but there's a potential for a broader range here. I'd like my thrusters to at least be color-coated to the same energy colors as provided by your other mods.
It feels weird to be able to shoot green lasers, but have blue rockets, when they use the same energy-based power source. It's like my ship is being powered by the rainbow, and I was hoping to be able to rein that in a bit.
Fair enough, will be interesting how they turn out then at the very least, as for the colours, i can understand that, thought you might end up doing it like the other colour mod's you have, there any chance it could be made as a seperate addon mod or something? if not all good i just figure i'd ask so. :)
I have no plans to create 2 or 3 way trhusters. But I have planned to make the equivalent of the tiny one in medium version for the big ships.
I'm quite reluctant to use colours, because I'm trying to create modules that are a bit more realistic. I would have liked to create a fuel system :D But too complex for me lol
Yes, but in general, on ships, if the flame changes colour, the engine is slowly disintegrating with the fuel, hence the green colour change of the flames due to the copper.
I think that's why the vanilla reactor booster has a greenish effect when it's active ^^
I have to fix some small visual issues in my other mods and add priority content on others :) For your request, I take it into consideration, but it's not a priority for the moment.
And alternate exhaust colours are feasible IRL depending on chemical composition of exhaust - Copper Sulphate for green, Potassium or Rubidium for purple, for some common examples
There are no plans to add more colours as I wanted realistic colours. Which colours were you thinking of?
