You are correct. I have not played Rimworld in a little bit. The mod is updated to have the 1.5 version tag.

This mod is literally 1 xml def, so it should work on 1.5 without problems

Would you be able to increase the cap beyond 6? Or remove it altogether? Alternatively if that’s not possible, would you be able to create a second tier that is more expensive to create and possibly increase bandwidth more since it’s more expensive as well?

That's correct. The control sublinks still exist, the bandwidth sublinks are additional items.

Just checking: these are additional, right? They exist alongside the control sublinks rather than replacing them?

Yeah they cap at six. Mechanically, they are the control sublinks. The only difference is the control group increases and mech speed boosts were replaced with bandwidth increases.
