for some reason.when i followed the steps and when playing the game the survivors subtitles disappeared.except your mod

so does this replace clowns and clown voicelines entirely? No more clowns in whispering oaks?

finally got it too work it may have been because i put them in l4d2 resource folder not the other resource folder

Sounds like you only replaced "subtitles_english.dat", you also have to replace the "closecaption_english.dat".

I even tried using your method, but I still have the "Clownshoe Squeaking" text.

After following the directions by M.G's guide on how to install custom subtitles, it affected the captions of survivors, but it still says the "Clownshoe Squeaking" text.

It will affect the voicelines, not the captions.
For the captions, just make sure you mounted them correctly and done.

most likely the MRV but that shouldn't affect the captions

Please do not spam. Write everything in one comment.
You need to replace the captions and subtitles files where the description says, otherwise it wont work.

Subscribe to this mod, when the vpk file is created in the addons folder, open it with GCFScape and extract "subtitles_english.dat" and "closecaption_english.dat" and replace the existent ones with the same name in the "update/resouce" folder in the game's directory.

es posible poner los subtítulos para otras campañas sin que afecten a dark carnival? ósea me refiere a poner los subtítulos en parroquia y digan que es esa radio estática pero que no afecte a los subtítulos de dark carnival y se queden con cuidado con ese payaso

Because those two shouldn't be used together.
L4D2 Noisemaker + Clown already include the survivors voicelines.

hey i downloaded this and the noise maker mod for lfd2 maps but they both conflict and cause the noisemakers to not spawn in, is there a fix to this?

No, L4D1 survivors don't have any for the clown so I didn't make any new ones for them.

is just weird like why they look like that they need more clothing then bruh its not you crazy uncle dressed up like a clown but really i like this

There's literally two lines that have the word "off".

Some of them are mixed pre-existing lines, like -CLAYMORE- said.
But most of them are created with audio ai, Uberduck.
