I have to leave a comment on this room. I have 80+ hours in this game and I have found all your rooms to be fantastic. It really makes me question the actual campaign of the base game. I look forward to your future rooms and what you'll be able to do in the 2nd game. Well done!

Hey @Bîp mawr cysglyd - thanks so much for playing the first two rooms and for the kind words! I’m really glad you enjoyed them. :)
This third room is a bit heavier than the first two. If your computer doesn’t crash, but it just feels like the loading is stuck, you can try waiting a bit longer. After the custom models have loaded, there can be a slight delay before the room fully opens - but it should work if you give it a moment.
Also, reducing the graphics settings (Textures → Half, Compression → Fast) usually helps both loading and performance.

loved the first 2 but this one just crashes from wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much being loaded, my pc isnt too terrible...shame

That was amazing! One tiny issue, I had a hard time understanding the first number in the phonograph message. I was hearing "3" for some reason. But other than that, I just absolutely adored this! I hope you plan on making more of them!

@Yuleeza, sorry to hear you couldn't play it. Try reload the room. Sometimes rooms randomly load in a strange way. So hope you'll have better luck this time. :)

Adding to my reply below, @ATLThrasher22, was the bedroom door just open from the beginning, or did it open when you did something particular? Or did you see the ghost walking down the stairs and open the portal into the bedroom?

@ATLThrasher22, thanks for reporting this. And thanks for playing and your kind comment. :) You’ve definitely encountered a glitch. You are not supposed to enter into the bedroom until you’ve solved a lot of other puzzles in many other locations of the hotel. :) If you decide to re-visit the hotel, please let me know how your stay was. :)

Lots of potential but unless we hit a glitch of some kind the game only lasted about 5 minutes before we went into the bedroom, then the garden with the key, then exited. WAY shorter than the timeframe/difficulty listed.. But great concept. We'll keep watching for more rooms.

We played it in Multiplayer and it was so much fun! Espacially the grammophone riddle was hard but really great!Unfortunitely my mate was stuck in the bush at the end, but i could finish by exiting alone anyways. Keep up the good work!

Hi @-Forest-, thanks a lot for playing The Haunted Hotel. :) Hope you liked it and had great fun playing it. Thanks for reporting the key interaction issue . I have now uploaded an updated version of this room where this issue has been fixed. :)

On the key at end. I couldn't get it either, even crouching. Didn't take too long and suddenly it was available to grab.

Not loading in Linux with or without Proton. Was able to load in Win10. In Linux got a Unity Error, on 2nd attempt, but couldn't tell more cause never finished loading.

Think it is your most elaborate one yet. Even had a animated cat. Too bad it only loads in Win10. Definitely, keeps making me think out of the box. The custom textures are out of this world.

Hi @k8sparrot, wow, thanks a million. :) So happy you liked The Haunted Hotel. :) As for the cementary, did you try picking up the key from the angel tray at the gate? Occasionally, it can be difficult to pick it up, and you may have to crouch to interact with it. I will look into ways to make it easier to pick it up. :) And yes, I completely agree with you - the answer might be a bit too obvious. :) . Thanks again for leaving your kind feecback. :)

Aww man! I got all the way to the cemetery but then I was stuck! Can't finish the game so can't rate it but would give it a solid 10/10. All I can think is that I finished the penultimate puzzle too quickly - the answer was a bit obvious to me so I entered it without looking round first. Maybe that made me miss a trigger? Loved it though - thanks!

This was great.......but there was nothing that mentioned taking the bell WITH you...so we got stuck at the end.

Wow!, just played this co-op. One of the best rooms on the workshop. Quite brilliant.

This is one of the best rooms I've ever played - the puzzles were fantastic, atmosphere was brilliant - really enjoyed it! 10/10!

Hi @Intensify, thanks a lot to you and your friend for playing this room. :) I hope you had fun doing it. The game uses LUA scripting for the ghost's movement , and due to LUA not being entirely stable in co-op, the game might sometimes glitch in co-op when the ghost shows and starts moving . Not always, luckily. I'm sorry to hear it glitched for you and your friend. This will be looked further into very soon. :)

The ghost at the end didn't move through all the letters on the wall. Friend was able to see up to 3 letters, I couldn't see any.

LOADING TIME NOW REDUCED BY 50 %

Hi all, I have now managed to reduce the loading time by 50 % by removing a very complex custom model and substituting it with one with less complexity. This hopefully should also make the game more stable and prevent crashing.

Try to adjust the "Sound Volume" a bit. Some music is "sound" and not "music". :)

The one from the entrance wont shut up even if we turn the whole music off

Hi @Bru, haha, yeah, you can turn it down a bit, if you want to. :D You can do it by pressing [Esc] > [Options] > [Audio] > [Music Volume] and/or [Sound Volume]. But don't turn it off completely, as you'll need it for one puzzle. And for the atmosphere. ;) The music is very different in the room as you progress. :)

Is there a way to turn the music off? its about to kill the little sanity i have left :D
